۞ فَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوْمِهٖٓ اِلَّآ اَنْ قَالُوْٓا اَخْرِجُوْٓا اٰلَ لُوْطٍ مِّنْ قَرْيَتِكُمْۙ اِنَّهُمْ اُنَاسٌ يَّتَطَهَّرُوْنَ ( النمل: ٥٦ )
But not was
فَمَا كَانَ
இருக்கவில்லை
(the) answer
جَوَابَ

(of) his people
قَوْمِهِۦٓ
அவருடைய மக்களின்
except
إِلَّآ
தவிர
that they said
أَن قَالُوٓا۟
கூறுவதாகவே
"Drive out
أَخْرِجُوٓا۟
வெளியேற்றுங்கள்
(the) family
ءَالَ
குடும்பத்தாரை
(of) Lut
لُوطٍ
லூத்துடைய
from your town
مِّن قَرْيَتِكُمْۖ
உங்கள் ஊரிலிருந்து
Indeed they
إِنَّهُمْ
நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள்
(are) people
أُنَاسٌ
அந்த மக்கள்
who keep clean and pure
يَتَطَهَّرُونَ
அசூசைப்படுகிறார்கள்
Fammaa kaana jawaaba qawmiheee illaaa an qaalooo akrijoon aalaa Lootim min qaryatikum innahum unaasuny yatatahharoon (an-Naml 27:56)
Abdul Hameed Baqavi:
அதற்கவர்கள் (தங்கள் மக்களை நோக்கி) "லூத்துடைய குடும்பத்தை உங்கள் ஊரை விட்டும் நீங்கள் ஓட்டிவிடுங்கள். நிச்சயமாக அவர் மிகப் பரிசுத்தமான மனிதர்கள் (போல் பேசுகின்றனர்)" என்று (பரிகாசமாகக்) கூறினார்கள்.
English Sahih:
But the answer of his people was not except that they said, "Expel the family of Lot from your city. Indeed, they are people who keep themselves pure." ([27] An-Naml : 56)
