يٰٓاَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا مَا لَكُمْ اِذَا قِيْلَ لَكُمُ انْفِرُوْا فِيْ سَبِيْلِ اللّٰهِ اثَّاقَلْتُمْ اِلَى الْاَرْضِۗ اَرَضِيْتُمْ بِالْحَيٰوةِ الدُّنْيَا مِنَ الْاٰخِرَةِۚ فَمَا مَتَاعُ الْحَيٰوةِ الدُّنْيَا فِى الْاٰخِرَةِ اِلَّا قَلِيْلٌ ( التوبة: ٣٨ )
Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo ma lakum itha qeela lakumu infiroo fee sabeeli Allahi iththaqaltum ila alardi aradeetum bialhayati alddunya mina alakhirati fama mata'u alhayati alddunya fee alakhirati illa qaleelun (at-Tawbah 9:38)

ऐ ईमान लानेवालो! तुम्हें क्या हो गया है कि जब तुमसे कहा जाता है, 'अल्लाह के मार्ग में निकलो' तो तुम धरती पर ढहे जाते हो? क्या तुम आख़िरत की अपेक्षा सांसारिक जीवन पर राज़ी हो गए? सांसारिक जीवन की सुख-सामग्री तो आख़िरत के हिसाब में है कुछ थोड़ी ही!
English Sahih:
O you who have believed, what is [the matter] with you that, when you are told to go forth in the cause of Allah, you adhere heavily to the earth? Are you satisfied with the life of this world rather than the Hereafter? But what is the enjoyment of worldly life compared to the Hereafter except a [very] little. ([9] At-Tawbah : 38)

ऐ ईमानदारों तुम्हें क्या हो गया है कि जब तुमसे कहा जाता है कि ख़ुदा की राह में (जिहाद के लिए) निकलो तो तुम लदधड़ (ढीले) हो कर ज़मीन की तरफ झुके पड़ते हो क्या तुम आख़िरत के बनिस्बत दुनिया की (चन्द रोज़ा) जिन्दगी को पसन्द करते थे तो (समझ लो कि) दुनिया की ज़िन्दगी का साज़ो सामान (आख़िर के) ऐश व आराम के मुक़ाबले में बहुत ही थोड़ा है
