وَّعَلَى الثَّلٰثَةِ الَّذِيْنَ خُلِّفُوْاۗ حَتّٰٓى اِذَا ضَاقَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الْاَرْضُ بِمَا رَحُبَتْ وَضَاقَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ اَنْفُسُهُمْ وَظَنُّوْٓا اَنْ لَّا مَلْجَاَ مِنَ اللّٰهِ اِلَّآ اِلَيْهِۗ ثُمَّ تَابَ عَلَيْهِمْ لِيَتُوْبُوْاۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ هُوَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيْمُ ࣖ ( التوبة: ١١٨ )
Wa'ala alththalathati allatheena khullifoo hatta itha daqat 'alayhimu alardu bima rahubat wadaqat 'alayhim anfusuhum wathannoo an la maljaa mina Allahi illa ilayhi thumma taba 'alayhim liyatooboo inna Allaha huwa alttawwabu alrraheemu (at-Tawbah 9:118)

और उन तीनों पर भी जो पीछे छोड़ दिए गए थे, यहाँ तक कि जब धरती विशाल होते हुए भी उनपर तंग हो गई और उनके प्राण उनपर दुभर हो गए और उन्होंने समझा कि अल्लाह से बचने के लिए कोई शरण नहीं मिल सकती है तो उसी के यहाँ। फिर उसने उनपर कृपा-दृष्टि की ताकि वे पलट आएँ। निस्संदेह अल्लाह ही तौबा क़बूल करनेवाला, अत्यन्त दयावान है
English Sahih:
And [He also forgave] the three who were left alone [i.e., boycotted, regretting their error] to the point that the earth closed in on them in spite of its vastness and their souls confined [i.e., anguished] them and they were certain that there is no refuge from Allah except in Him. Then He turned to them so they could repent. Indeed, Allah is the Accepting of Repentance, the Merciful. ([9] At-Tawbah : 118)

और उन यमीमों पर (भी फज़ल किया) जो (जिहाद से पीछे रह गए थे और उन पर सख्ती की गई) यहाँ तक कि ज़मीन बावजूद उस वसअत (फैलाव) के उन पर तंग हो गई और उनकी जानें (तक) उन पर तंग हो गई और उन लोगों ने समझ लिया कि ख़ुदा के सिवा और कहीं पनाह की जगह नहीं फिर ख़ुदा ने उनको तौबा की तौफीक दी ताकि वह (ख़ुदा की तरफ) रूजू करें बेशक ख़ुदा ही बड़ा तौबा क़ुबूल करने वाला मेहरबान है
