اِنَّآ اَنْذَرْنٰكُمْ عَذَابًا قَرِيْبًا ەۙ يَّوْمَ يَنْظُرُ الْمَرْءُ مَا قَدَّمَتْ يَدَاهُ وَيَقُوْلُ الْكٰفِرُ يٰلَيْتَنِيْ كُنْتُ تُرَابًا ࣖ ( النبإ: ٤٠ )
Indeed We
إِنَّآ
बेशक हम
[We] have warned you
أَنذَرْنَٰكُمْ
डरा दिया हमने तुम्हें
(of) a punishment
عَذَابًا
अज़ाब से
near
قَرِيبًا
क़रीब के
(the) Day
يَوْمَ
जिस दिन
will see
يَنظُرُ
देखेगा
the man
ٱلْمَرْءُ
इन्सान
what
مَا
जो
have sent forth
قَدَّمَتْ
आगे भेजा
his hands
يَدَاهُ
उसके दोनों हाथों ने
and will say
وَيَقُولُ
और कहेगा
the disbeliever
ٱلْكَافِرُ
काफ़िर
"O I wish!
يَٰلَيْتَنِى
ऐ काश कि मैं
I were
كُنتُ
होता मैं
dust!"
تُرَٰبًۢا
मिट्टी
Inna antharnakum 'athaban qareeban yawma yanthuru almaro ma qaddamat yadahu wayaqoolu alkafiru ya laytanee kuntu turaban (an-Nabaʾ 78:40)

हमने तुम्हें निकट आ लगी यातना से सावधान कर दिया है। जिस दिन मनुष्य देख लेगा जो कुछ उसके हाथों ने आगे भेजा, और इनकार करनेवाला कहेगा, 'ऐ काश! कि मैं मिट्टी होता!'
English Sahih:
Indeed, We have warned you of an impending punishment on the Day when a man will observe what his hands have put forth and the disbeliever will say, "Oh, I wish that I were dust!" ([78] An-Naba : 40)
