وَاِذَا جَاۤءَهُمْ اَمْرٌ مِّنَ الْاَمْنِ اَوِ الْخَوْفِ اَذَاعُوْا بِهٖ ۗ وَلَوْ رَدُّوْهُ اِلَى الرَّسُوْلِ وَاِلٰٓى اُولِى الْاَمْرِ مِنْهُمْ لَعَلِمَهُ الَّذِيْنَ يَسْتَنْۢبِطُوْنَهٗ مِنْهُمْ ۗ وَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ اللّٰهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهٗ لَاتَّبَعْتُمُ الشَّيْطٰنَ اِلَّا قَلِيْلًا ( النساء: ٨٣ )
Waitha jaahum amrun mina alamni awi alkhawfi atha'oo bihi walaw raddoohu ila alrrasooli waila olee alamri minhum la'alimahu allatheena yastanbitoonahu minhum walawla fadlu Allahi 'alaykum warahmatuhu laittaba'tumu alshshaytana illa qaleelan (an-Nisāʾ 4:83)

जब उनके पास निश्चिन्तता या भय की कोई बात पहुचती है तो उसे फैला देते है, हालाँकि अगर वे उसे रसूल और अपने समुदाय के उतरदायी व्यक्तियों तक पहुँचाते तो उसे वे लोग जान लेते जो उनमें उसकी जाँच कर सकते है। और यदि तुमपर अल्लाह का उदार अनुग्रह और उसकी दयालुता न होती, तो थोड़े लोगों के सिवा तुम सब शैतान के पीछे चलने लग जाते
English Sahih:
And when there comes to them something [i.e., information] about [public] security or fear, they spread it around. But if they had referred it back to the Messenger or to those of authority among them, then the ones who [can] draw correct conclusions from it would have known about it. And if not for the favor of Allah upon you and His mercy, you would have followed Satan, except for a few. ([4] An-Nisa : 83)

और जब उनके (मुसलमानों के) पास अमन या ख़ौफ़ की ख़बर आयी तो उसे फ़ौरन मशहूर कर देते हैं हालॉकि अगर वह उसकी ख़बर को रसूल (या) और ईमानदारो में से जो साहबाने हुकूमत तक पहुंचाते तो बेशक जो लोग उनमें से उसकी तहक़ीक़ करने वाले हैं (पैग़म्बर या वली) उसको समझ लेते कि (मशहूर करने की ज़रूरत है या नहीं) और (मुसलमानों) अगर तुमपर ख़ुदा का फ़ज़ल (व करम) और उसकी मेहरबानी न होती तो चन्द आदमियों के सिवा तुम सबके सब शैतान की पैरवी करने लगते
