كَمْ اَهْلَكْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ مِّنْ قَرْنٍ فَنَادَوْا وَّلَاتَ حِيْنَ مَنَاصٍ ( ص: ٣ )
How many
كَمْ
कितनी ही
We destroyed
أَهْلَكْنَا
हलाक कीं हमने
before them
مِن
उनसे पहले
before them
قَبْلِهِم
उनसे पहले
of
مِّن
उम्मतें
a generation
قَرْنٍ
उम्मतें
then they called out
فَنَادَوا۟
तो उन्होंने पुकारा
when there (was) no longer
وَّلَاتَ
और ना थी
time
حِينَ
उस वक़्त
(for) escape
مَنَاصٍ
कोई पनाहगाह
Kam ahlakna min qablihim min qarnin fanadaw walata heena manasin (Ṣād 38:3)

उनसे पहले हमने कितनी ही पीढ़ियों को विनष्ट किया, तो वे लगे पुकारने। किन्तु वह समय हटने-बचने का न था
English Sahih:
How many a generation have We destroyed before them, and they [then] called out; but it was not a time for escape. ([38] Sad : 3)
