وَتَفَقَّدَ الطَّيْرَ فَقَالَ مَا لِيَ لَآ اَرَى الْهُدْهُدَۖ اَمْ كَانَ مِنَ الْغَاۤىِٕبِيْنَ ( النمل: ٢٠ )
And he inspected
وَتَفَقَّدَ
और उसने जायज़ा लिया
the birds
ٱلطَّيْرَ
परिन्दों का
and said
فَقَالَ
फिर कहा
"Why

क्या है
"Why
لِىَ
मुझे
not
لَآ
नहीं मैं देखता
I see
أَرَى
नहीं मैं देखता
the hoopoe
ٱلْهُدْهُدَ
हुदहुद को
or
أَمْ
या
is he
كَانَ
है वो
from
مِنَ
ग़ायब होने वालों में से
the absent?
ٱلْغَآئِبِينَ
ग़ायब होने वालों में से
Watafaqqada alttayra faqala ma liya la ara alhudhuda am kana mina alghaibeena (an-Naml 27:20)

उसने पक्षियों की जाँच-पड़ताल की तो कहा, 'क्या बात है कि मैं हुदहुद को नहीं देख रहा हूँ, (वह यहीं कहीं है) या ग़ायब हो गया है?
English Sahih:
And he took attendance of the birds and said, "Why do I not see the hoopoe – or is he among the absent? ([27] An-Naml : 20)
