وَاِذَآ اَرَدْنَآ اَنْ نُّهْلِكَ قَرْيَةً اَمَرْنَا مُتْرَفِيْهَا فَفَسَقُوْا فِيْهَا فَحَقَّ عَلَيْهَا الْقَوْلُ فَدَمَّرْنٰهَا تَدْمِيْرًا ( الإسراء: ١٦ )
And when
وَإِذَآ
और जब
We intend
أَرَدْنَآ
इरादा करते हैं हम
that
أَن
कि
We destroy
نُّهْلِكَ
हम हलाक कर दें
a town
قَرْيَةً
किसी बस्ती को
We order
أَمَرْنَا
हुक्म देते हैं हम
its wealthy people
مُتْرَفِيهَا
उसके ख़ुशहाल लोगों को
but they defiantly disobey
فَفَسَقُوا۟
तो वो नाफ़रमानी करते हैं
therein;
فِيهَا
उसमें
so (is) proved true
فَحَقَّ
तो साबित हो जाती है
against it
عَلَيْهَا
उस पर
the word
ٱلْقَوْلُ
बात
and We destroy it
فَدَمَّرْنَٰهَا
तो तबाह कर देते हैं हम उसे
(with) destruction
تَدْمِيرًا
तबाह कर देना
Waitha aradna an nuhlika qaryatan amarna mutrafeeha fafasaqoo feeha fahaqqa 'alayha alqawlu fadammarnaha tadmeeran (al-ʾIsrāʾ 17:16)

और जब हम किसी बस्ती को विनष्ट करने का इरादा कर लेते है तो उसके सुखभोगी लोगों को आदेश देते है तो (आदेश मानने के बजाए) वे वहाँ अवज्ञा करने लग जाते है, तब उनपर बात पूरी हो जाती है, फिर हम उन्हें बिलकुल उखाड़ फेकते है
English Sahih:
And when We intend to destroy a city, We command its affluent but they defiantly disobey therein; so the word [i.e., deserved decree] comes into effect upon it, and We destroy it with [complete] destruction. ([17] Al-Isra : 16)
