Az-Zalzalah Verse 4

on that Day the earth will recount everything,

On that Day it will recount all its news,

upon that day she shall tell her tidings

on that Day, it will tell all

On that Day she will tell out the tidings thereof.

On that Day will she declare her tidings;

On that Day it will relate all her news,

That day it will narrate its annals,

On that day earth will narrate its news,

On that day she will relate her chronicles

On that day she will recount all its tidings,

That day she will relate all her news (pertaining to every action done in secret on it).

That day it tells/informs (about) its news/information/knowledge.

On that day earth will narrate its news,

On that day she shall tell her tidings,

That Day it will declare its information (about all what happened over it of good or evil).

As if thy Lord had revealed to her.

On that day she shall tell her news,

That day she will relate her chronicles,

On that day the earth will declare all (the activities of the human being) which have taken place on it,

On that Day it shall proclaim its news,

That Day it will declare its information.

on that Day it will narrate its account,

On that Day, it will tell its tales.

On that day (yawma'idhin substitutes for, and is the response to, idh, `when') it shall relate its chronicles, it shall inform of the good and evil deeds committed in it,

That Day it will declare its information.

meaning, it will speak of what the people did upon its surface.

Imam Ahmad, At-Tirmidhi and Abu `Abdur-Rahman An-Nasa'i all recorded a Hadith from Abu Hurayrah -- and in the wording of An-Nasa'i's version it states -- that he said, "The Messenger of Allah recited this Ayah,
يَوْمَيِذٍ تُحَدِّثُ أَخْبَارَهَا
(That Day it will declare its information.) Then he said, Do you know what is its information?

They said, `Allah and His Messenger know best.'

He said,

فَإِنَّ أَخْبَارَهَا أَنْ تَشْهَدَ عَلَى كُلِّ عَبْدٍ وَأَمَةٍ بِمَا عَمِلَ عَلَى ظَهْرِهَا أَنْ تَقُولَ عَمِلَ كَذَا وَكَذَا يَوْمَ كَذَا وَكَذَا فَهَذِهِ أَخْبَارُهَا

Verily, its information is that it will testify against every male and female servant, about what they did upon its surface. It will say that he did such and such on such and such day.

So this is its information."

At-Tirmidhi said, "This Hadith is Sahih Gharib."

Concerning Allah's statement,

بِأَنَّ رَبَّكَ أَوْحَى لَهَا
