وَهَٰذَا
And this
ٱلْبَلَدِ
[the] city
ٱلْأَمِينِ
[the] secure
Wa haazal balad-il ameen
And [by] this secure city [i.e., Makkah],
لَقَدْ
Indeed
خَلَقْنَا
We created
ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ
man
فِىٓ
in
أَحْسَنِ
(the) best
تَقْوِيمٍ
mould
Laqad khalaqnal insaana fee ahsani taqweem
We have certainly created man in the best of stature;
ثُمَّ
Then
رَدَدْنَٰهُ
We return him
أَسْفَلَ
(to the) lowest
سَٰفِلِينَ
(of the) low
Thumma ra dad naahu asfala saafileen
Then We return him to the lowest of the low,
إِلَّا
Except
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
ءَامَنُوا۟
believe
وَعَمِلُوا۟
and do
ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
righteous deeds
فَلَهُمْ
then for them
أَجْرٌ
(is a) reward
غَيْرُ
never
مَمْنُونٍ
ending
Ill-lal lazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati; falahum ajrun ghairu mamnoon
Except for those who believe and do righteous deeds, for they will have a reward uninterrupted.
فَمَا
Then what
يُكَذِّبُكَ
causes you to deny
بَعْدُ
after (this)
بِٱلدِّينِ
the judgment?
Fama yu kaz zibuka b'adu bid deen
So what yet causes you to deny the Recompense?
أَلَيْسَ
Is not
ٱللَّهُ
Allah
بِأَحْكَمِ
(the) Most Just
ٱلْحَٰكِمِينَ
(of) the Judges?
Alai sal laahu bi-ahkamil haakimeen
Is not Allah the most just of judges?
