Al-Muddaththir Verse 37

to whichever of you chooses to take the lead or lag behind.

to whoever among you chooses to advance or regress.

to whoever of you desires to go forward or lag behind.

to those of you who choose to go ahead and those who lag behind.

A warning Unto him of you who shall go forward or who chooseth to lag behind.

To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind;-

a warning to everyone of you whether he would like to come forward or lag behind.

Whoever of you desires to progress or lag behind.

For the one among you who wishes to come forward or stay back.

[alike] for those of you who like to advance ahead and those who would remain behind.

For everyone of you, whether he goes forward (by choosing faith and good deeds) or hangs back (because his choice of unbelief and sin pulls him away from the Straight Path).

Yet whosoever of you wants to go ahead (may do so), or whoever of you wants to lag behind (may do so, for warning avails only those who are really keen to be guided aright).

For who from you wanted that to advance/precede or delay/lag behind.

For the one among you who wishes to come forward or stay back.

To him among you who wishes to go forward or remain behind.

To any of you that chooses to go forward (by working righteous deeds), or to remain behind (by commiting sins),

To him among you who will go forward or will remain behind.

To him among you who wishes to go forward or remain behind.

Unto him of you who will advance or hang back.

whether one steps forward to embrace the faith or one turns away from it.

to whoever among you desires to go forward, or lag behind.

To any of you that chooses to go forward, or to remain behind.

alike to every one of you, who want to go forward or hang back.

To whomever among you wishes to advance, or regress.

[alike] to those of you who wish (li-man sh'a minkum is a substitution for li'l-bashar, `to [all] humans') to advance, towards good, or towards Paradise by means of faith, or linger behind, in evil, or in Hell because of [their] disbelief.

A warning to mankind -- to any of you that chooses to go forward, or to remain behind.

meaning, for whoever wishes to accept the warning and be guided to the truth, or hold back from accepting it, turn away from it and reject it
