Al-Jinn Verse 18

The places of worship are ˹only˺ for Allah, so do not invoke anyone besides Him.

The mosques are for Allah alone, so do not supplicate anyone along with Allah.

The places of worship belong to God; so call not, along with God, upon anyone.

Places of worship are for God alone- so do not pray to anyone other than God-

And the prostrations are for Allah; wherefore call not along with Allah anyone.

"And the places of worship are for Allah (alone); So invoke not any one along with Allah;

and that “mosques belong to Allah, so do not invoke anyone with Him”;

All places of worship are for God; so do not invoke any one with God.

‘And that the mosques are for Allah only – therefore do not worship anyone along with Allah.’

The places of worship belong to Allah, so do not invoke anyone along with Allah.

All places of worship (and all parts of the body with which one prostrates ) are for God, and all worship is due to Him alone, so do not worship anyone along with God.

And that the mosques are meant for (the worship of) Allâh, so call on no one (therein) beside Allâh.

`And that (E) the mosques (are) to God, so do not call anyone with God.`

‘And that the mosques are for Allah only – therefore do not worship anyone along with Allah.’

The places of worship are only Allah´s, therefore call not upon any one along with Allah:

And the mosques are for Allah (Alone), so invoke not anyone along with Allah.

Say: None can protect me against Allah, nor can I find any refuge besides Him:

And that the mosques are Allah's, therefore call not upon any one with Allah:

And the places of worship are only for Allah, so pray not unto anyone along with Allah.

All the parts of the body to be placed on the ground during prostration belong to God.

Mosques belong to Allah, so do not call to anyone else, other than Allah.

And the Masjids are for Allah, so invoke not anyone along with Allah.

The mosques are for God's worship -- so do not invoke anyone else along with God --

The places of worship are for God. So do not call, besides God, upon anyone else.

And [it has been revealed to me] that the places of prayer belong to God, so do not invoke, in them, anyone along with God, by associating others with Him, like the Jews and Christians do, who, when they enter their churches and temples, they ascribe partners to God.

The Command to worship Allah Alone and shun Shirk

Allah commands His servants to single Him out alone for worship and that none should be supplicated to along with Him, nor should any partners be associated with Him. As Qatadah said concerning Allah's statement,

وَأَنَّ الْمَسَاجِدَ لِلَّهِ فَلَأ تَدْعُوا مَعَ اللَّهِ أَحَدًا




And the Masjids are for Allah, so invoke not anyone along with Allah.

"Whenever the Jews and Christians used to enter their churches and synagogues, they would associate partners with Allah. Thus, Allah commanded His Prophet to tell them that they should single Him out alone for worship."

Ibn Jarir recorded from Sa`id bin Jubayr that he said concerning this verse,

"The Jinns said to the Prophet of Allah, `How can we come to the Masjid while we are distant - meaning very far away - from you And how can we be present for the prayer while we are far away from you' So Allah revealed this Ayah."

The Jinns crowding together to hear the Qur'an. Allah said,

وَأَنَّهُ لَمَّا قَامَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَدْعُوهُ كَادُوا يَكُونُونَ عَلَيْهِ لِبَدًا
