Al-Haqqah Verse 4

˹Both˺ Thamûd and ’Ȃd denied the Striking Disaster.[[ The Striking Disaster is another name for the Day of Judgment.]]

Thamūd and ‘Ād denied the striking calamity of the Hour.

Thamood and Ad cried lies to the Clatterer.

The people of Thamud and 'Ad denied that the crashing blowwould come:

The tribes of Thamud and 'Aad belied the Striking Day.

The Thamud and the 'Ad People (branded) as false the Stunning Calamity!

The Thamud and the Ad denied the (possibility of a) sudden calamity, calling it false.

The Thamud and 'Ad denied the consequential calamity.

The tribes of Thamud and A’ad denied the event of great dismay. (The Day of Resurrection)

Thamudand ‘Ad denied the Cataclysm.

The (tribes) of Thamud and ‘Ad denied the Sudden, Mighty Strike.

(The tribe of) Thamûd and `âd treated (the news of) the calamity which strikes (peoples´ hearts with terror to make them realize) as a lie.

Thamud and Aad lied/denied/falsified with the Resurrection/disaster/calamity .

The tribes of Thamud and A’ad denied the event of great dismay. (The Day of Resurrection)

Thamud and A´ad called the Stunning Calamity (the Day of Judgment) a lie.

Thamud and 'Ad people denied the Qari'ah [the striking Hour (of Judgement)]!

And as for ‘Ad, they were destroyed by a roaring, violent wind,

Samood and Ad called the striking calamity a lie.

(The tribes of) Thamud and A'ad disbelieved in the judgment to come.

The people of Thamud and Ad denied the Day of Judgment.

Thamood and Aad belied the Clatterer.

Thamud and `Ad denied the Qari`ah!

The tribes of Thamud and 'Ad denied that disaster would strike them:

Thamood and Aad denied the Catastrophe.

Thamd and `d denied the Clatterer, the Resurrection, because its terrors cause the hearts to clatter.

فَأَمَّا ثَمُودُ فَأُهْلِكُوا بِالطَّاغِيَةِ
