Al-Qalam Verse 16

We will soon mark his snout.[[ Like {53:33}-35 and {74:11}-26, these verses refer to Al-Walîd ibn Al-Mughîrah, a leader of the Meccan opposition against Islam. He rejected the Prophet (ﷺ) as a madman, so the Quran responded by listing ten of his qualities—two of which were unknown to him: the fact that he was born out of wedlock and that his nose would be chopped off several years later at the Battle of Badr. At least three of his ten sons accepted Islam—including Khâlid ibn Al-Walîd.]] 

We will soon brand him on the snout.

We shall brand him upon the muzzle!

We shall brand him on the snout!

Anon We shall brand him on snout.

Soon shall We brand (the beast) on the snout!

Soon shall We brand him on his snout.

We shall brand him on the muzzle.

We will soon singe his pig-nose.

Soon We shall brand him on his snout.

We will brand him on the nose (to mark indelibly his disgrace).

We will soon brand him on the snout (and stigmatize him with indelible disgrace).

We will brand him by fire/mark him on the nose/trunk/snout (usually used for elephants).

We will soon singe his pig-nose.

We will brand him on the snout.

We shall brand him over the nose!

And would not set aside a portion (for the poor).

We will brand him on the nose.

We shall brand him on the nose.

We shall brand him on his nose.

We shall mark him upon his nose!

We shall brand him on the snout (nose)!

Soon We will brand him on the nose.

We will brand him on the muzzle.

We shall brand him on the snout; We shall leave a distinguishing mark upon his nose, one by which he will be reviled for as long as he lives; and so his nose was chopped off by a sword at Badr.

We shall brand him on the snout!

Ibn Jarir said,

"We will make his matter clear and evident so that they will know him and he will not be hidden from them, just as the branding mark on the snouts (of animals)."

Others have said,
سَنَسِمُهُ
(We shall brand him),

This is the mark of the people of the Hell-fire; meaning, `We will blacken his face on the Day of Judgement,' and the face has been referred to here as snout
