Al-Qalam Verse 14

Now, ˹simply˺ because he has been blessed with ˹abundant˺ wealth and children,

Simply because he has wealth and children,

because he has wealth and sons.

Just because he has wealth and sons,

Because he is owner of riches and children.

Because he possesses wealth and (numerous) sons.

(who so acts) simply because he has wealth and sons,

Simply because he possesses wealth and children.

Because he* has some wealth and sons. (Walid bin Mugaira, who cursed the Holy Prophet.)

—[who behaves in such a manner only] because he has wealth and children.

Because he has wealth and many sons.

Only because he owns wealth and (numerous) sons (and influence).

That (E) he was (owner) of property/wealth and sons and daughters.

Because he* has some wealth and sons. ( * Walid bin Mugaira, who cursed the Holy Prophet.)

Because he possesses wealth and sons.

(He was so) because he had wealth and children.

We shall brand him on the snout.

Because he possesses wealth and sons.

It is because he is possessed of wealth and children

When Our revelations are recited to him,

because he has wealth and sons.

(He was so) because he had wealth and children.

just because he has wealth and sons,

Just because he has money and children.

[only] because (an should be understood as li-an, `because', and it is semantically connected to that [meaning] which it is indicating) he has wealth and sons.

إِذَا تُتْلَى عَلَيْهِ ايَاتُنَا قَالَ أَسَاطِيرُ الاَْوَّلِينَ
