فَلَمَّا جَنَّ عَلَيْهِ الَّيْلُ رَاٰ كَوْكَبًا ۗقَالَ هٰذَا رَبِّيْۚ فَلَمَّآ اَفَلَ قَالَ لَآ اُحِبُّ الْاٰفِلِيْنَ ( الأنعام: ٧٦ )

عَلَيْهِ

al-laylu
ٱلَّيْلُ
the night
raā
رَءَا
he saw
kawkaban
كَوْكَبًاۖ
a star
qāla
قَالَ
He said
hādhā
هَٰذَا
"This
rabbī
رَبِّىۖ
(is) my Lord"
falammā
فَلَمَّآ
But when
afala
أَفَلَ
it set
qāla
قَالَ
he said
lā
لَآ
"Not
uḥibbu
أُحِبُّ
"(do) I like
l-āfilīna
ٱلْءَافِلِينَ
the ones that set"
Falammaa janna 'alaihil lailu ra aa kawkabaan qaala haaza Rabbee falammaaa afala qaala laaa uhibbul aafileen (al-ʾAnʿām 6:76)
Sahih International:
So when the night covered him [with darkness], he saw a star. He said, "This is my lord." But when it set, he said, "I like not those that set [i.e., disappear]." (Al-An'am [6] : 76)

So, when the night enveloped him, he saw a star. He said, “This is my Lord.” But, when it vanished, he said, “I do not like those who vanish.”
