Muhammad Verse 29

Or do those with sickness in their hearts think that Allah will not ˹be able to˺ expose their malice?

Do those in whose hearts is sickness think that Allah will never expose their malice?

Or did those in whose hearts is sickness think that God would not bring to light their rancour?

Do the corrupt at heart assume that God will not expose their malice?

Deem those in whose hearts is a disease that Allah will never bring to light their secret malevolence?

Or do those in whose hearts is a disease, think that Allah will not bring to light all their rancour?

Or do they, in whose hearts there is a sickness, believe that Allah will not bring their failings to light?

Do they whose minds are filled with doubt, think that God will not expose their malice?

What! Do they, in whose hearts is a disease, fancy that Allah will not expose concealed enmities?

Do those in whose hearts is a sickness suppose that Allah will not expose their spite?

Or do those in whose hearts is sickness think that God will not bring to light their spite (against the Divine Religion and its followers)?

Do the people with diseased minds suppose that Allâh will never bring their malice to light?

Or did those whom in their hearts/minds (is) sickness/disease (doubt) think/suppose that (E) God will never/not bring out their hatred/grudge ?

What! Do they, in whose hearts is a disease, fancy that Allah will not expose concealed enmities?

Or do those in whose heart is a disease think that Allah will not bring forth their secret faults?

Or do those in whose hearts is a disease (of hypocrisy), think that Allah will not bring to light all their hidden ill-wills?

That is because they follow that which displeases Allah and are averse to His pleasure, so He makes their deeds fruitless.

Or do those in whose hearts is a disease think that Allah will not bring forth their spite?

Or do those in whose hearts is a disease deem that Allah will not bring to light their (secret) hates?

Do those whose hearts are sick think that God will never make their malice public?

Or, do those who have a disease in their hearts think that Allah will not reveal their hatred?

Or do those in whose hearts is a disease, think that Allah will not expose their ill--wills

Do the sick at heart imagine that God will not bring to light their malice?

Do those in whose hearts is sickness think that God will not expose their malice?

Or did those in whose hearts is a sickness suppose that God would not expose their rancour?, [that] He would [not] bring to light their spite against the Prophet (s) and the believers.

Exposing the Hidden Secret of the Hypocrites

Allah says,

أَمْ حَسِبَ الَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ أَن لَّن يُخْرِجَ اللَّهُ أَضْغَانَهُمْ



Or do those in whose hearts is disease think that Allah would never expose their ill-wills?

meaning, do the hypocrites think that Allah will not expose their affair to His believing servant? Yes indeed, He will expose their affair and manifest it so that those with insight will be able to understand it.

In that regard, Allah revealed Surah Bara'ah (or At-Tawbah), in which He clarified the hypocrites' scandals, and pinpointed their practices that are indicative of their hypocrisy. Because of that, this Surah (Surah Bara'ah) is also called "The Exposer".
Adghan is the plural of Dighn, which means what the souls harbor of envy and hatred toward Islam and its people who support it.

Allah then says
