Al-Ahqaf Verse 7

Whenever Our clear revelations are recited to them, the disbelievers say of the truth when it has come to them, “This is pure magic.”

When Our clear verses are recited to them, those who disbelieve say about the truth when it comes to them, “This is clear magic.”

And when Our signs are recited to them, clear signs, the unbelievers say to the truth when it has come to them, 'This is manifest sorcery.'

When Our revelations are recited to them in all their clarity, the disbelievers say of the Truth that has reached them, ‘This is clearly sorcery,’

And when Our manifest revelations are rehearsed Unto them those who disbelieve say of the truth when it hath come to them: this is magic manifest.

When Our Clear Signs are rehearsed to them, the Unbelievers say, of the Truth when it comes to them; "This is evident sorcery!"

When Our Clear Messages are rehearsed to them, the unbelievers exclaim about the Truth when it came to them: “This is plain sorcery.”

When Our clear revelations are read out to them, the infidels say of the truth, when it has come to them: "This is pure magic."

And when Our clear verses are recited to them, the disbelievers say regarding the Truth that has come to them, “This is an obvious magic!”

When Our manifest signs are recited to them, the faithless say of the truth when it comes to them: ‘This is plain magic.’

When Our Revelations, clear as evidence and in meaning are recited (and conveyed) to them, those who disbelieve say of the truth when it reaches them: "This is clearly nothing but sorcery."

When Our clear Messages are recited to them, these disbelievers say with regard to the Truth when it comes to them, `This is an obvious sorcery.´

And if Our evidences/signs/verses are read/recited on them, those who disbelieved to the truth when it came to them said: "This (is) clear/evident magic/sorcery."

And when Our clear verses are recited to them, the disbelievers say regarding the Truth that has come to them, “This is an obvious magic!”

And when Our clear revelations are recited to them, those who disbelieve say of the truth when it comes to them, "This is mere magic (or sorcery)."

And when Our Clear Verses are recited to them, the disbelievers say of the truth (this Quran), when it reaches them: "This is plain magic!"

And when men are gathered together, they will be their enemies, and will deny their worshipping (them).

And when Our clear communications are recited to them, those who disbelieve say with regard to the truth when it comes to them: This is clear magic.

And when Our clear revelations are recited unto them, those who disbelieve say of the Truth when it reacheth them: This is mere magic.

When Our enlightening revelations are recited to them, the disbelievers, of the truth which has come to them, say, "This is plain magic".

When Our clear verses are recited to them, the unbelievers say of the truth that came to them: 'This is clear sorcery'

And when Our Clear Ayat are recited to them, the disbelievers say of the truth when it reaches them: "This is plain magic!"

And whenever Our clear revelations are recited to them and the Truth is brought to them, those who deny the truth say, "This is plain magic."

When Our revelations are recited to them, plain and clear, those who disbelieve say of the truth when it has come to them, “This is obviously magic.”

And when Our signs, the Qur'n, are recited to them, namely, [to] the people of Mecca, being clear signs, manifest [signs] (bayyintin is a circumstantial qualifier), those who disbelieve, from among them, say of the truth, that is, the Qur'n, when it comes to them, `This is plain sorcery!', clear and evident [sorcery].

Refuting Claims of the Idolators about the Qur'an and the Messenger

Allah says,

وَإِذَا تُتْلَى عَلَيْهِمْ ايَاتُنَا بَيِّنَاتٍ قَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لِلْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَاءهُمْ

And when Our Clear Ayat are recited to them, the disbelievers say of the truth when it reaches them;

Concerning the disbelief and rebellion of the idolators, Allah says that when the clear Ayat of Allah are recited to them they say;

هَذَا سِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ



"This is plain magic!"

meaning, simple magic.

In this statement of theirs, they have lied, invented a falsehood, went astray and disbelieved
