Al-Ahqaf Verse 33

Do they not realize that Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth and did not tire in creating them,[[ Or never failed in creating them. ]] is able to give life to the dead? Yes ˹indeed˺! He is certainly Most Capable of everything.

Do they not see that Allah, Who created the heavens and earth, and was not wearied by creating them, is able to bring the dead to life? Yes indeed! He is Most Capable of all things.

What, have they not seen that God who created the heavens and earth, not being wearied by creating them, is able to give life to the dead? Yes indeed; He is powerful over everything.

Do the disbelievers not understand that God, who created the heavens and earth and did not tire in doing so, has the power to bring the dead back to life? Yes indeed! He has power over everything.

Bethink they not that Allah Who created the heavens and the earth and was not fatigued with the creation thereof, is able to quicken the dead? Aye! verily He is over everything Potent.

See they not that Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth, and never wearied with their creation, is able to give life to the dead? Yea, verily He has power over all things.

Do they not see that Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth -- and creating them did not wear Him out -- has the power to bring the dead back to life? Why not! He certainly has the power over everything.

Do they not realise that God who created the heavens and the earth, and did not tire creating them, is able to bring the dead to life? And why not? He has the power over everything.

Have they not realised that Allah, Who did not tire in creating the heavens and the earth and in creating them, is Able to revive the dead? Surely yes, why not? Indeed He is Able to do all things.

Do they not see that Allah, who created the heavens and the earth and [who] was not exhausted by their creation, is able to revive the dead? Yes, indeed He has power over all things.

Have they (the unbelievers) not considered that surely God, Who has created the heavens and the earth, and never wearied with their creation, is able to bring the dead to life? Certainly He is; He has full power over everything.

Have they not considered that Allâh Who has created the heavens and the earth and was not wearied by their creation, is (in every way) Possessor of power to give life to the dead? Yes, verily He is Possessor of prudential power to do every desired thing.

Did they not see/understand that (E) God (is) who created the skies/space and the earth/Planet Earth, and (He) did not fail/fatigue with their creation, (is) with capable/able on that He revives/makes alive the deads, yes/certainly, that He truly is on every thing capable/able .

Have they not realised that Allah, Who did not tire in creating the heavens and the earth and in creating them, is Able to revive the dead? Surely yes, why not? Indeed He is Able to do all things.

See they not that Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth and was not tired by their creation, is able to give life to the dead? Aye! He has surely power over all things.

Do they not see that Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth, and was not wearied by their creation, is Able to give life to the dead? Yes, He surely is Able to do all things.

And whoever accepts not the Inviter to Allah, he cannot escape in the earth, nor has he protectors besides Him. These are in manifest error.

Have they not considered that Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth and was not tired by their creation, is able to give life to the dead? Aye! He has surely power over all things.

Have they not seen that Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth and was not wearied by their creation, is Able to give life to the dead? Aye, He verily is Able to do all things.

Have they not seen that God has created the heavens and the earth and that He experienced no fatigue in doing this. He has the power to bring the dead back to life. Certainly He has power over all things.

Have they not seen that it is Allah who created the heavens and the earth and was not wearied by their creation, and that He is Able to restore the dead tolife? Yes, He has power over all things!

Do they not see that Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth, and was not wearied by their creation, is Able to give life to the dead Yes, He surely is Able to do all things.

Have they not seen that God, who created the heavens and the earth and was not wearied by their creation, has the power to bring the dead back to life? Yes, indeed, He has power over all things.

Do they not realize that God, who created the heavens and the earth, and was never tired by creating them, is Able to revive the dead? Yes indeed; He is Capable of everything.

Have they not seen, [have they not] realised, that is, the deniers of resurrection, that God, Who created the heavens and the earth and [Who] was not wearied by their creation, [Who] did not fail therein, is able to give life to the dead? (bi-qdirin is the predicate of anna, `that', the bi- having been added to it because the statement has the same force as [the construction]; a-laysa'Llhu bi-qdirin, `Is God not able ...?'). Yes, indeed, He is able to give life to the dead. Indeed He has is able to do all things.

Evidence for Life after Death

Allah says,

أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا

Do they not see

Allah says, those who deny resurrection on Judgement Day, and doubt that the bodies will be raised on that Last Day -- Do they not see,

أَنَّ اللَّهَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالاَْرْضَ وَلَمْ يَعْيَ بِخَلْقِهِنَّ

that Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth, and was not wearied by their creation,

meaning, the creation of the heavens and earth did not exhaust Him.' Rather, He commanded them;"Be," and they were, without any refusal or delay. They obeyed and responded to Him with submission and fear.

This is similar to what Allah said elsewhere,

لَخَلْقُ السَّمَـوَتِ وَالاٌّرْضِ أَكْـبَرُ مِنْ خَلْقِ النَّاسِ وَلَـكِنَّ أَكْـثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

Verily, the creation of the heavens and earth is greater than the creation of the people. But most people do not know. (40;57)

بِقَادِرٍ عَلَى أَنْ يُحْيِيَ الْمَوْتَى

is Able to give life to the dead?

i.e. Is He not then able to revive the dead?

Allah responds to the above question by saying,

بَلَى إِنَّهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ




Yes, He surely is Able to do all things.

Then Allah says, as a threat and a warning to whoever disbelieves in Him
