وَكَيْفَ تَأْخُذُوْنَهٗ وَقَدْ اَفْضٰى بَعْضُكُمْ اِلٰى بَعْضٍ وَّاَخَذْنَ مِنْكُمْ مِّيْثَاقًا غَلِيْظًا ( النساء: ٢١ )
wakayfa
وَكَيْفَ
And how
takhudhūnahu
تَأْخُذُونَهُۥ
could you take it
waqad
وَقَدْ
when surely
afḍā
أَفْضَىٰ
has gone -
baʿḍukum
بَعْضُكُمْ
one of you
ilā
إِلَىٰ
to
baʿḍin
بَعْضٍ
another
wa-akhadhna
وَأَخَذْنَ
and they have taken
minkum
مِنكُم
from you
mīthāqan
مِّيثَٰقًا
covenant
ghalīẓan
غَلِيظًا
strong?
Wa kaifa taakhuzoonahoo wa qad afdaa ba'dukum ilaa ba'dinw wa akhazna minkum meesaaqan ghaleezaa (an-Nisāʾ 4:21)
Sahih International:
And how could you take it while you have gone in unto each other and they have taken from you a solemn covenant? (An-Nisa [4] : 21)

How can you take it when you have had access to each other and they have taken a firm covenant from you?
