مَا يَفْعَلُ اللّٰهُ بِعَذَابِكُمْ اِنْ شَكَرْتُمْ وَاٰمَنْتُمْۗ وَكَانَ اللّٰهُ شَاكِرًا عَلِيْمًا ۔ ( النساء: ١٤٧ )

by punishing you

شَكَرْتُمْ
you are grateful

and you believe?

وَكَانَ
And is
l-lahu
ٱللَّهُ
Allah
shākiran
شَاكِرًا
All-Appreciative
ʿalīman
عَلِيمًا
All-Knowing
maa yafa'lul laahu bi 'azaabikum in shakartum wa aamantum; wa kaanal laahu Shaakiran 'Aleema (an-Nisāʾ 4:147)
Sahih International:
What would Allah do with [i.e., gain from] your punishment if you are grateful and believe? And ever is Allah Appreciative and Knowing. (An-Nisa [4] : 147)

What would Allah get by punishing you, if you are grateful and believe? Allah is Appreciating, All-Knowing.
