As-Saffat Verse 70

so they rushed in their footsteps!

so they rushed to follow in their footsteps.

and they run in their footsteps.

and rushed to follow in their footsteps- before the disbelievers [of Mecca],

So they in their footsteps are rushing.

So they (too) were rushed down on their footsteps!

and they are running in their footsteps.

Yet they hasten to follow in their footsteps.

So they hastily follow their footsteps!

yet they press onwards in their footsteps.

And yet, they rush (after them) in their footsteps.

And they are rushing on in their footsteps (as if driven by some inward urge).

So they are on their tracks/marks/signs rushing disturbedly .

So they hastily follow their footsteps!

So in their footsteps they hasten on.

So they (too) made haste to follow in their footsteps!

So in their footsteps they are hastening on.

So in their footsteps they are being hastened on.

But they make haste (to follow) in their footsteps.

and rushed to follow them.

yet they run in their footsteps,

So they (too) hastened in their footsteps!

so they are rushing to follow in their footsteps.

And rushed along in their footsteps.

and so they are [also now] hurrying in their footsteps; they shall be prodded to follow them and they end up hurrying towards it [Hell-fire].

So they (too) hastened in their footsteps!

Mujahid said,

"This is like running."

Sa`id bin Jubayr said,

"They followed ignorance and foolishness.
