Fatir Verse 35

˹He is the One˺ Who—out of His grace—has settled us in the Home of Everlasting Stay, where we will be touched by neither fatigue nor weariness.”

He Who has caused us to settle – out of His grace – in the everlasting home, wherein no weariness or fatigue will touch us.”

who of His bounty has made us to dwell in the abode of everlasting life wherein no weariness assails us neither fatigue.'

He has, in His bounty, settled us in the everlasting Home where no toil or fatigue will touch us.’

Who hath, through His grace, lodged us in the abode of permanence, wherein there will not touch us tall, and wherein there will not touch us weariness.

"Who has, out of His Bounty, settled us in a Home that will last; no toil nor sense of weariness shall touch us therein."

(the Lord) Who, out of His Bounty, has made us dwell in an abode wherein no toil, nor fatigue affects us.

Who has settled us by His grace in the mansions of eternal rest, where there is no labour for us, nor does weariness come upon us."

“The One Who has, by His munificence, established us in a place of serenity; in which no hardship shall ever reach us nor any fatigue affect us.”

who has settled us in the everlasting abode by His grace. In it we are untouched by toil, and untouched by fatigue.’

Who, out of His grace, has made us settle in the abode of eternal residence, wherein no toil touches us, and wherein no weariness afflicts us."

It is He Who has lodged us in the Lasting Abode by His grace. Herein we know no toil, herein we know no weariness.

Who placed us/made us occupy (the) house/home (of) the residence/position, from His grace/favour ;Hardship/fatigue does not touch us in it, and nor exhaustion touches us in it.

“The One Who has, by His munificence, established us in a place of serenity; in which no hardship shall ever reach us nor any fatigue affect us.”

And they shall say: (All) praise is due to Allah, Who has made grief to depart from us; most surely our Lord is Forgiving, Bountiful.

Who, out of His Grace, has lodged us in a home that will last forever; there, toil will touch us not, nor weariness will touch us."

And they say: Praise be to Allah, Who has removed grief from us! Surely our Lord is Forgiving, Multiplier of reward,

Who has made us alight in a house abiding for ever out of His grace; toil shall not touch us therein, nor shall fatigue therein afflict us.

Who, of His grace, hath installed us in the mansion of eternity, where toil toucheth us not nor can weariness affect us.

It is He who has granted us, through His favor, an everlasting dwelling wherein we shall experience no hardship nor any fatigue."

Through His bounty He has made us to live in the abode of Everlasting Life, where neither weariness nor fatigue shall touch us'

"Who, out of His grace, has lodged us in a home that will last forever, where toil will touch us not nor weariness will touch us."

Through His grace He has admitted us to the everlasting Abode, where neither toil nor weariness affects us."

He Who settled us in the Home of Permanence, by His grace, where boredom will not touch us, and fatigue will not afflict us.”

Who out of His favour has made us to dwell in the Abode of [everlasting] Stay, wherein no toil shall touch us, nor shall we be touched by any fatigue', lack of strength caused by exhaustion, [and this is] because [religious] obligations no longer apply therein (the second of these [`fatigue'], which is consequent upon the first [`toil'], is mentioned in order to make explicit the non-existence [of any toil in Paradise]).

الَّذِي أَحَلَّنَا دَارَ الْمُقَامَةِ مِن فَضْلِهِ

Who, out of His grace, has lodged us in a home that will last forever,

means, `Who has given us this position and status out of His grace and blessing and mercy, for our good deeds are not equivalent to this.'

It was reported in the Sahih that the Messenger of Allah said;-

لَنْ يُدْخِلَ أَحَدًا مِنْكُمْ عَمَلُهُ الْجَنَّة

None of you will enter Paradise by virtue of his good deeds.

They said, "Not even you, O Messenger of Allah."

He said,

وَلَا أَنَا إِلاَّ أَنْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِي اللهُ تَعَالَى بِرَحْمَةٍ مِنْهُ وَفَضْل

Not even me, unless Allah encompasses me with His mercy and grace.

لَاا يَمَسُّنَا فِيهَا نَصَبٌ وَلَاا يَمَسُّنَا فِيهَا لُغُوبٌ



where toil will touch us not nor weariness will touch us.

means, neither hardship nor exhaustion will touch us.

The words translated here as "toil" and "weariness" both mean exhaustion, as if what is meant by the negation of both is that neither their bodies nor their souls will become exhausted; and Allah knows best.

They used to exhaust themselves in worshipping this world, but their obligations will come to an end when they enter Paradise, where they will enjoy eternal rest and repose.

Allah says;

كُلُواْ وَاشْرَبُواْ هَنِييَاً بِمَأ أَسْلَفْتُمْ فِى الاٌّيَّامِ الْخَالِيَةِ


Eat and drink at ease for that which you have sent on before you in days past! (69;24
