Al-Ahzab Verse 68

Our Lord! Give them double ˹our˺ punishment, and condemn them tremendously.”

Our Lord, give them a double punishment and curse them with a mighty curse.”

Our Lord, give them chastisement twofold, and curse them with a mighty curse!'

Lord! Give them a double punishment and reject them completely.’

Our Lord! give them double torment and curse them with a great curse.

"Our Lord! Give them double Penalty and curse them with a very great Curse!"

Our Lord, mete out to them a double chastisement and lay upon them a mighty curse.”

O Lord, give them a double punishment, and put a grievous curse upon them."

“Our Lord! Give them double the punishment of the fire and send upon them a mighty curse!”

Our Lord! Give them a double punishment and curse them with a mighty curse.’

"Our Lord! Cause them to suffer the punishment doubled, and curse them with a mighty curse (so that they are utterly excluded, absolutely and eternally, from Your Mercy)!"

`Our Lord! give them (their) punishment twice over (for their own evil deeds and for their misleading us), and deprive them totally of your grace.

Our Lord give/bring them two doubles from the torture, and curse/humiliate them a great ,curse/humiliation .

“Our Lord! Give them double the punishment of the fire and send upon them a mighty curse!”

And they shall say, "O our Lord! Surely we obeyed our leaders and our great men, so they led us astray from the path;

Our Lord! give them double torment and curse them with a mighty curse!"

And they say: Our Lord, we only obeyed our leaders and our great men, so they led us astray from the path.

O our Lord! give them a double punishment and curse them with a great curse.

Our Lord! Oh, give them double torment and curse them with a mighty curse.

Lord, make them to suffer double torment and subject them to the greatest condemnation."

Our Lord, let their punishment be doubled; and curse them with a mighty curse'

"Our Lord! Give them double torment and curse them with a mighty curse!"

Our Lord, give them double punishment and curse them with a mighty curse."

Lord, give them double the punishment, and curse them with a great curse.”

Our Lord, give them a double chastisement, in other words, twice the like of our chastisement, and curse them, chastise them, with numerous curses!', with the equivalent number [of chastisements] (la`nan kathran, `numerous curses', is also read la`nan kabran, [which means] `with a mighty curse').

رَبَّنَا اتِهِمْ ضِعْفَيْنِ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ

Our Lord! Give them double torment,

means, `for their disbelief and because they mislead us.'

Abu Al-Qasim At-Tabarani recorded from Abu Rafi` that among the names of those who fought with Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, was Al-Hajjaj bin `Amr bin Ghaziyah, and he was the one who, when they met, said;

"O people of the Ansar! Do you want to say when we meet our Lord;

وَقَالُوا رَبَّنَا إِنَّا أَطَعْنَا سَادَتَنَا وَكُبَرَاءنَا فَأَضَلُّونَا السَّبِيلَ

رَبَّنَا اتِهِمْ ضِعْفَيْنِ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ وَالْعَنْهُمْ لَعْنًا كَبِيرًا



Our Lord! Verily, we obeyed our chiefs and our great ones, and they misled us from the way. Our Lord! Give them double torment and curse them with a mighty curse!
