Al-Ahzab Verse 66

On the Day their faces are ˹constantly˺ flipped in the Fire, they will cry, “Oh! If only we had obeyed Allah and obeyed the Messenger!”

On the Day when their faces are turned over in the Fire, they will say, “Would that we had obeyed Allah and obeyed the Messenger!”

Upon the day when their faces are turned about in the Fire they shall say, 'Ah, would we had obeyed God and the Messenger!

On the Day when their faces are being turned about in the Fire, they will say, ‘If only we had obeyed God and the Messenger,’

On the Day whereon their faces shall be rolled in the Fire, they will say: Oh that we had obeyed Allah and had obeyed the apostle!

The Day that their faces will be turned upside down in the Fire, they will say; "Woe to us! Would that we had obeyed Allah and obeyed the Messenger!"

On that Day when their faces shall be turned around in the Fire, they will say: “Would that we had obeyed Allah and obeyed the Messenger.”

The day their faces would be turned on the fire (as on a spit), they will say: "Alas! If only we had obeyed God, and obeyed the Prophet."

On the day when their faces will be overturned being roasted inside the fire, they will say, “Alas – if only we had obeyed Allah and obeyed His Noble Messenger!”

The day when their faces are turned about in the Fire, they will say, ‘We wish we had obeyed Allah and obeyed the Apostle!’

On the Day when their faces are turned over and over in the Fire, they will exclaim, "Oh, woe to us! Would that we had obeyed God and obeyed the Messenger!"

The day when their leaders are turned over and over into the Fire, they will say, `O would that we had obeyed Allâh! would that we had obeyed the Messenger!´

A day/time their faces/fronts will be turned over in the fire , they say: "Oh if only we obeyed God and we obeyed the messenger/two messengers ?"

On the day when their faces will be overturned being roasted inside the fire, they will say, “Alas – if only we had obeyed Allah and obeyed His Noble Messenger!”

Wherein they will abide forever (or a long time); they shall find no protecting friend or helper.

On the Day when their faces will be turned over in the Fire, they will say: "Oh, would that we had obeyed Allah and obeyed the Messenger (Muhammad SAW)."

To abide therein for a long time; they will find no protector nor helper.

On the day when their faces shall be turned back into the fire, they shall say: O would that we had obeyed Allah and obeyed the Apostle!

On the day when their faces are turned over in the Fire, they say: Oh, would that we had obeyed Allah and had obeyed His messenger!

On the day when their faces will be turned from side to side on the fire, they will say, "Would that we had obeyed God and the Messenger!"

On that Day when their faces are turned about in the Fire, they shall say: 'Would that we had obeyed Allah and obeyed the Messenger'

On the Day when their faces will be turned over in the Fire, they will say: "Oh, would that we had obeyed Allah and obeyed the Messenger."

On the Day when their faces are turned over in the Fire, they shall say: "Oh, would that we had obeyed God, and obeyed the Messenger!"

The Day when their faces are flipped into the Fire, they will say, “If only we had obeyed God and obeyed the Messenger.”

On the day when their faces are turned about in the Fire they shall say, `O (y is for alerting) would that we had obeyed God and obeyed the Messenger!'

On the Day when their faces will be turned over in the Fire, they will say;"Oh, would that we had obeyed Allah and obeyed the Messenger."

means, they will be dragged into the Fire on their faces and their faces will be contorted in Hell, and in that state they will wish that they had been among those who had obeyed Allah and His Messenger in this world. Allah describes how they will be in the Hereafter;

وَيَوْمَ يَعَضُّ الظَّـلِمُ عَلَى يَدَيْهِ يَقُولُ يلَيْتَنِى اتَّخَذْتُ مَعَ الرَّسُولِ سَبِيلً

يوَيْلَتَا لَيْتَنِى لَمْ أَتَّخِذْ فُلَناً خَلِيلً

لَّقَدْ أَضَلَّنِى عَنِ الذِّكْرِ بَعْدَ إِذْ جَأءَنِى وَكَانَ الشَّيْطَـنُ لِلِنْسَـنِ خَذُولاً

And the Day when the wrongdoer will bite at his hands, he will say;"Oh! Would that I had taken a path with the Messenger.

Ah! Woe to me! Would that I had never taken so-and-so as an intimate friend! He indeed led me astray from the Reminder after it had come to me. And Shaytan is to man ever a deserter in the hour of need." (25;27-29)

رُّبَمَا يَوَدُّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لَوْ كَانُواْ مُسْلِمِينَ

How much would those who disbelieved wish that they had been Muslims. (15;2)

And here too, Allah tells us that when they are in this state, they will wish that they had obeyed Allah and His Messenger in this world;

وَقَالُوا رَبَّنَا إِنَّا أَطَعْنَا سَادَتَنَا وَكُبَرَاءنَا فَأَضَلُّونَا السَّبِيلَ
