Ali 'Imran Verse 68

Indeed, those who have the best claim to Abraham are his followers, this Prophet,[[ Muḥammad (ﷺ).]] and the believers. And Allah is the Guardian of those who believe.

The closest people to Abraham are those who followed him, and this Prophet and those who believe. And Allah is the Guardian of the believers.

Surely the people standing closest to Abraham are those who followed him, and this Prophet, and those who believe; and God is the Protector of the believers.

and the people who are closest to him are those who truly follow his ways, this Prophet, and [true] believers- God is close to [true] believers.

Verily the nearest of mankind to Ibrahim, surely those who followed him, and this prophet, and those who believe; and Allah is the Patron of the believers.

Without doubt, among men, the nearest of kin to Abraham, are those who follow him, as are also this Prophet and those who believe; And Allah is the Protector of those who have faith.

Surely the people who have the best claim to a relationship with Abraham are those who followed him in the past, and presently this Prophet and those who believe in him; Allah is the guardian of the men of faith.

Of all men the nearest to Abraham are those who follow him, and then this Prophet and the faithful; and God is the protector of all believers.

Undoubtedly among all mankind who have the best claim to Ibrahim are those who followed him, and this Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) and the believers; and Allah is the Guardian of the believers.

Indeed the nearest of all people to Abraham are those who follow him and this prophet and those who have faith, and Allah is the guardian of the faithful.

Surely those of humankind who have the best claim to relationship with Abraham are those who followed him (during the term of his mission), and this (most illustrious) Prophet, and those (in his company) who believe. God is the confidant and guardian of the believers (to Whom they can entrust their affairs and on Whom they can rely.)

The people nearest to Abraham are surely those who followed him (in the days of his prophethood) and this Prophet and those who believe (in him). Indeed, Allâh is the Patron of the believers.

That the people most worthy with Abraham are those who followed him and this the prophet and those who believed, and God (is) the believer`s guardian/patron .

Undoubtedly among all mankind who have the best claim to Ibrahim are those who followed him, and this Prophet (Mohammed - peace and blessings be upon him) and the believers; and Allah is the Guardian of the believers.

A sect of the people of the Book long to lead you astray, but they only lead themselves astray, and they perceive not.

Verily, among mankind who have the best claim to Ibrahim (Abraham) are those who followed him, and this Prophet (Muhammad SAW) and those who have believed (Muslims). And Allah is the Wali (Protector and Helper) of the believers.

Abraham was not a Jew nor a Christian, but he was (an) upright (man), a Muslim; and he was not one of the polytheists.

Most surely the nearest of people to Ibrahim are those who followed him and this Prophet and those who believe and Allah is the guardian of the believers.

Lo! those of mankind who have the best claim to Abraham are those who followed him, and this Prophet and those who believe (with him); and Allah is the Protecting Guardian of the believers.

The nearest people to Abraham, among mankind, are those who followed him, this Prophet (Muhammad) and the true believers. God is the Guardian of the true believers.

Surely, the people who are nearest to Abraham are those who followed him, and this Prophet (Muhammad), and those who believe. Allah is the Guardian of the believers.

Verily, among mankind who have the best claim to Ibrahim are those who followed him, and this Prophet and those who have believed. And Allah is the Wali (Protector and Helper) of the believers.

Surely, the people who are closest to Abraham are those who followed him and this Prophet [Muhammad], and those who believe in him. God is the guardian of the believers.

The people most deserving of Abraham are those who followed him, and this prophet, and those who believe. God is the Guardian of the believers.

Surely the people with the best claim, most worthy of, Abraham are those who followed him, during his time, and this Prophet, Muhammad (s) on account of his according with him as regards most [of the rulings] of his Law, and those who believe, from among his community, they are the ones that ought to say, `We follow his religion', and not you; and God is the Protector of the believers, their Helper and Preserver.

Verily, among mankind who have the best claim to Ibrahim are those who followed him, and this Prophet and those who have believed. And Allah is the Wali (Protector and Helper) of the believers.

This Ayah means,

"The people who have the most right to be followers of Ibrahim are those who followed his religion and this Prophet, Muhammad, and his Companions from the Muhajirin, Ansar and those who followed their lead."

Sa`id bin Mansur recorded that Ibn Mas`ud said that the Messenger of Allah said,

إِنَّ لِكُلِّ نَبِيَ وُلَاةً مِنَ النَّبِيِّينَ وَإِنَّ وَلِيِّي مِنْهُمْ أَبِي وَخَلِيلُ رَبِّي عَزَّ وَجَل

Every Prophet had a Wali (supporter, best friend) from among the Prophets. My Wali among them is my father Ibrahim, the Khalil (intimate friend) of my Lord, the Exalted and Most Honored.

The Prophet then recited,
إِنَّ أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِإِبْرَاهِيمَ لَلَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوهُ
(Verily, among mankind who have the best claim to Ibrahim are those who followed him...).

Allah's statement,

وَاللّهُ وَلِيُّ الْمُوْمِنِينَ


And Allah is the Wali (Protector and Helper) of the believers.

means, Allah is the Protector of all those who believe in His Messengers
