Ali 'Imran Verse 157

Should you be martyred or die in the cause of Allah, then His forgiveness and mercy are far better than whatever ˹wealth˺ those ˹who stay behind˺ accumulate.

If you are killed in the way of Allah or die, then forgiveness and mercy from Allah are far better than what they accumulate.

If you are slain or die in God's way, forgiveness and mercy from God are a better thing than that you amass;

Whether you are killed for God’s cause or die, God’s forgiveness and mercy are better than anything people amass.

Verily if ye be slain in the way of Allah or die, forgiveness from Allah and mercy are surely better than that which they amass.

And if ye are slain, or die, in the way of Allah, forgiveness and mercy from Allah are far better than all they could amass.

And were you to be slain or to die in the way of Allah, then surely Allah's forgiveness and mercy are better than all the goods they amass.

If you are killed in the cause of God or you die, the forgiveness and mercy of God are better than all that you amass.

And if you are killed in Allah’s way or die, then the pardon from Allah and mercy are better than all what they hoard.

If you are slain in the way of Allah, or die, forgiveness and mercy from Allah are surely better than what they amass.

And if you are killed, or die, in God’s cause, then forgiveness from God and mercy are far better than all that they could amass (in this life).

And if you are killed (in the cause of Allâh) or you die, surely (you will find that) the protection from Allâh and (His) mercy (which fall to your lot) are far better than what they (- who have concealed the truth) amass.

And if (E) you were killed in God`s way/sake or you died, a forgiveness (E) from God, and a mercy (is) better from what they gather/collect/accumulate.

And if you are killed in Allah’s way or die, then the pardon from Allah and mercy are better than all what they hoard.

And if you die or be killed it is to Allah that you shall be assembled.

And if you are killed or die in the Way of Allah, forgiveness and mercy from Allah are far better than all that they amass (of worldly wealths, etc.).

O you who believe, be not like those who disbelieve and say of their brethren when they travel in the earth or engage in fighting: Had they been with us, they would not have died, or been slain; that Allah may make it to be a regret in their hearts. And Allah gives life and causes death. And Allah is Seer of what you do.

And if you are slain in the way of Allah or you die, certainly forgiveness from Allah and mercy is better than what they amass.

And what though ye be slain in Allah's way or die therein? Surely pardon from Allah and mercy are better than all that they amass.

If you were to die or to be killed for the cause of God, certainly His forgiveness and mercy is far better than your worldly gains.

If you should be killed in the way of Allah or die, the Forgiveness and Mercy from Allah would surely be better than all you amass.

And if you are killed or die in the way of Allah, forgiveness and mercy from Allah are far better than all that they amass.

If you are killed or die in God's cause, then surely forgiveness from God and His grace are better than all that one could amass.

If you are killed in the cause of God, or die—forgiveness and mercy from God are better than what they hoard.

And if (wa-la-in, the lm is for oaths) you are slain in God's way, in [holy] struggle, or die (read muttum or mittum, from [singular form] mta, yamtu), that is, if death comes to you thereat, forgiveness, that is, from God, for your sins, and mercy, therefor from Him for you (the clause introduced by the lm [of la- maghfiratun, `forgiveness'] is the response to the oath [clause of la'in], and occupies the place of the verbal action as a subject, the predicate of which [is what follows]) are better than what they amass, in this world (read tajma`n, `you amass', or yajma`n, `they amass').

And if you are killed or die in the way of Allah, forgiveness and mercy from Allah are far better than all that they amass.

indicating that death and martyrdom in Allah's cause are a means of earning Allah's mercy, forgiveness and pleasure.

This, indeed, is better than remaining in this life with its short lived delights. Furthermore, whoever dies or is killed will return to Allah, the Exalted and Most Honored, and He will reward him if he has done good deeds, or will punish him for his evil deeds.

Allah said,

وَلَيِن مُّتُّمْ أَوْ قُتِلْتُمْ لاِلَى الله تُحْشَرُونَ
