Ash-Shu'ara Verse 197

Was it not sufficient proof for the deniers that it has been recognized by the knowledgeable among the Children of Israel?[[ i.e., ’Abdullâh ibn Salâm, a Jewish authority, who accepted Islam during the time of the Prophet (ﷺ). ]]

Was it not a proof for them that the learned men of the Children of Israel recognized it [to be true]?

Was it not a sign for them, that it is known to the learned of the Children of Israel?

Is it not proof enough for them that the learned men of the Children of Israel have recognized it?

Is it not a sign unto them that the learned among the Children of Isra'il know it?

Is it not a Sign to them that the Learned of the Children of Israel knew it (as true)?

Is it not a Sign to them - (to wit, the Makkans) - that the learned men of the Children of Israel know that?

Was it not a proof for them that the learned men of Israel knew about this?

And was this not a sign for them, that the scholars of the Descendants of Israel may recognise this Prophet?

Is it not a sign for them that the learned of the Children of Israel recognize it?

Is it not an evidence enough for them that the scholars of the Children of Israel know it (to be so)?

Is it not a sufficient proof for them that the learned among the Children of Israel recognize it (- the Qur´ân)?

Was not an evidence/sign/verse (to) be for them, that Israel`s sons` and daughters` learned ones/knowledgeable know it? (Was not an evidence for them that the Israelites` scholars know of it?)

And was this not a sign for them, that the scholars of the Descendants of Israel may recognise this Prophet?

And, verily, it is also in the scriptures of the past!

Is it not a sign to them that the learned scholars (like 'Abdullah bin Salam who embraced Islam) of the Children of Israel knew it (as true)?

In plain Arabic language.

Is it not a sign to them that the learned men of the Israelites know it?

Is it not a token for them that the doctors of the Children of Israel know it?

Is not the fact (that the Israelite scholars already knew about the Quran through their Book) sufficient evidence for the pagans of the truthfulness (of the Quran)?

Was it not a sign for them known to the learned of the Children of Israel?

Is it not a sign to them that the learned scholars of the Children of Israel knew it

Is it not evidence enough for them that the learned among the Children of Israel have recognized this [as true]?

Is it not a sign for them that the scholars of the Children of Israel recognized it?

Is it not a sign, of this fact, for them, for the disbelievers of Mecca, that the learned of the Children of Israel recognise it?, [those] such as `Abd Allh b. Salm and his companions, from among those who became [Muslim] believers; they are able inform [you] of this (read yakun with yatan in the accusative, or takun with yatun in the nominative).

Is it not a sign to them that the learned scholars of the Children of Israel knew it!

meaning, is it not sufficient witness to the truth for them that the scholars of the Children of Israel found this Qur'an mentioned in the Scriptures which they study! The meaning is;

the fair-minded among them admitted that the attributes of Muhammad and his mission and his Ummah were mentioned in their Books, as was stated by those among them who believed, such as Abdullah bin Salam, Salman Al-Farisi and others who met the Prophet.

Allah said;

الَّذِينَ يَتَّبِعُونَ الرَّسُولَ النَّبِىَّ الاُمِّىَّ

Those who follow the Messenger, the Prophet who can neither read nor write (7;157)
The Intense Disbelief of Quraysh

Then Allah tells us how intense the disbelief of Quraysh was, and how stubbornly they resisted the Qur'an. If this Book with all its eloquence had been revealed to a non-Arab who did not know one word of Arabic, they still would not have believed in him.

Allah says;

وَلَوْ نَزَّلْنَاهُ عَلَى بَعْضِ الاَْعْجَمِينَ
