Ash-Shu'ara Verse 102

If only we could have a second chance, then we would be believers.”

If only we had a chance to return, we would be among the believers.”

O that we might return again, and be among the believers!'

If only we could live our lives again, we would be true believers!’

Were there for us a return, we would be of the believers.

"'Now if we only had a chance of return we shall truly be of those who believe!'"

If only we could return we would be among the believers."

If only we could return and be among the believers!"

“So if only were we to go back, in order to become Muslims!”

Had there been another turn for us, we would be among the faithful.’

"If only we had a second chance (in the world), so that we might be among the believers!"

`Could we have but another (chance to) return (to the world) then we would surely become of the (true) believers.´

And if that (E) (there were) for us a return/repetition so we be/become from the believers.

“So if only were we to go back, in order to become Muslims!”

"´And no loving friend.

(Alas!) If we only had a chance to return (to the world), we shall truly be among the believers!

So we have no intercessors,

But if we could but once return, we would be of the believers.

Oh, that we had another turn (on earth), that we might be of the believers!

Would that we could have a chance to live again so that we might become believers."

Would that we might return again, and be among the believers'

"(Alas!) If we only had a chance to return, we shall truly be among the believers!"

If we could only return to the world and be among the believers."

If only we could have another chance, we would be among the faithful.”

If only we had another turn, [another] return to this world, we would have been among those who believe!' (law, `if only', here is for [the conditional] optative, to which nakna, `we would have been', constitutes the response).

(Alas!) If we only had a chance to return, we shall truly be among the believers!

They will wish that they could come back to this world so that they could do deeds of obedience to their Lord -- as they claim -- but Allah knows that if they were to come back to this world, they would only go back to doing forbidden things, and He knows that they are liars.

Allah tells us in Surah Sad about how the people of Hell will argue with one another, as He says;

إِنَّ ذَلِكَ لَحَقٌّ تَخَاصُمُ أَهْلِ النَّارِ

Verily, that is the very truth -- the mutual dispute of the people of the Fire! (38;64)

Then He says;

إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَايَةً وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّوْمِنِينَ
