Al-Furqan Verse 16

There they will have whatever they wish for, forever. That is a promise ˹to be sought after˺, binding on your Lord.”

They will have there whatever they wish for, abiding therein forever. That is a promise that your Lord has taken upon Himself.”

Therein they shall have what they will dwelling forever; it is a promise binding upon thy Lord, and of Him to be required.

There they will find everything they wish for, and there they will stay. [Prophet], this is a binding promise from your Lord.

Theirs therein shall be all that they wish for, as abiders; a promise from thy Lord to be asked for.

"For them there will be therein all that they wish for; they will dwell (there) for aye; A promise to be prayed for from thy Lord."

wherein they will get everything they desire and wherein they will dwell for ever. This is a promise which your Lord has taken upon Himself to fulfil.

There will they have whatever they wish, and there abide for ever." This is a promise incumbent on your Lord which will certainly be fulfilled.

“In it for them is all that they may desire, abiding in it for ever; a promise incumbent upon your Lord, that is prayed for.”

There they will have whatever they wish, abiding [forever]—a promise [much] besought, [binding] on your Lord.

For them there will be therein all that they desire, themselves abiding (in it). This is a promise which your Lord has bound Himself to fulfill.

They shall have there all that they desire and they will abide (in this state of bliss for ever). It is a promise binding on your Lord (and) to be always earnestly prayed for (from Him).

For them in it what they will/want immortally/eternally, (it) was on your Lord a questioned promise.

“In it for them is all that they may desire, abiding in it for ever; a promise incumbent upon your Lord, that is prayed for.”

Say, "Is that better or the Garden of Eternity (Immortality) which is promised unto those who fear (ward off evil), which is ever a reward and a goal?

For them there will be therein all that they desire, and they will abide (there forever). It is a promise binding upon your Lord that must be fulfilled.

Say: Is this better or the Garden Perpetuity, which the dutiful are promised? That is a reward and a resort for them.

They shall have therein what they desire abiding (in it); it is a promise which it is proper to be prayed for from your Lord.

Therein abiding, they have all that they desire. It is for thy Lord a promise that must be fulfilled.

Therein they will eternally have whatever they want. This is a binding promise from your Lord."

Living there for ever, they shall find in it all that they desire. That is a promise binding upon your Lord, and to be asked of Him.

For them there will be therein all that they desire, and they will abide (therein forever). It is upon your Lord a Wa`dan Mas'ula.

Abiding there forever, they shall find in it all that they desire. This is a binding promise which your Lord has made.

They will have therein whatever they desire, forever. That is upon your Lord a binding promise.

In it they shall have what they wish, abiding [therein] -- an irrevocable state -- it, the promise to them of what is mentioned, is a promise binding on your Lord, [a promise] much besought, requested by those who have been promised it [as is clear from the following]; Our Lord, grant us what You have promised us through Your messengers [Q. 3;194], or requested on their behalf by the angels [who say]; Our Lord, and admit them into the Gardens of Eden which You have promised them [Q. 40;8].

لَهُمْ فِيهَا مَا يَشَاوُونَ

For them there will be therein all that they desire,

of delights such as food, drink, clothing, dwellings, means of transportation and scenery, and other things that no eye has seen, no ear has heard, nor the heart of anyone can comprehend.

خَالِدِينَ

and they will abide (therein forever),

They will abide therein forever; it will never cease or come to an end, and they will never leave it.

This is what Allah has promised to those whom He has blessed and to whom He has shown His favor. He says;

كَانَ عَلَى رَبِّكَ وَعْدًا مَسْوُولاًا



It is a upon your Lord a Wa`dan Mas'ula,

meaning, it must inevitably come to pass.

Abu Jafar bin Jarir reported from some of the scholars of the Arabic language that the words
وَعْدًا مَسْوُولاً
(Wa`dan Mas'ula),

mean;a binding pledge.

In this Surah Allah mentions Hell, then refers to the situation of the people of Paradise. This is similar to the passage in Surah As-Saffat where Allah mentions the status of the people of Paradise, with its beauty and joy, then He says;

أَذَلِكَ خَيْرٌ نُّزُلاً أَمْ شَجَرَةُ الزَّقُّومِ


إِنَّا جَعَلْنَـهَا فِتْنَةً لِّلظَّـلِمِينَ


إِنَّهَا شَجَرَةٌ تَخْرُجُ فِى أَصْلِ الْجَحِيمِ


طَلْعُهَا كَأَنَّهُ رُءُوسُ الشَّيَـطِينِ


فَإِنَّهُمْ لاّكِلُونَ مِنْهَا فَمَالِيُونَ مِنْهَا الْبُطُونَ


ثُمَّ إِنَّ لَهُمْ عَلَيْهَا لَشَوْباً مِنْ حَمِيمٍ


ثُمَّ إِنَّ مَرْجِعَهُمْ لاِلَى الْجَحِيمِ


إِنَّهُمْ أَلْفَوْاْ ءَابَأءَهُمْ ضَألِّينَ


فَهُمْ عَلَى ءَاثَارِهِمْ يُهْرَعُونَ


Is that better entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum! Truly, We have made it a trial for the wrongdoers. Verily, it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hellfire, The shoots of its fruit stalks are like the heads of Shayatin. Truly, they will eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. Then on the top of that they will be given boiling water to drink so that it becomes a mixture. Then thereafter, verily, their return is to the flaming fire of Hell. Verily, they found their fathers on the wrong path. So they hastened in their footsteps! (37;62-70
