Al-Mu'minun Verse 8

˹the believers are also˺ those who are true to their trusts and covenants;

And those who are faithful to their trusts and pledges,

and who preserve their trusts and their covenant

who are faithful to their trusts and pledges

And those who of their trusts and covenant are keepers.

Those who faithfully observe their trusts and their covenants;

who are true to their trusts and their covenants,

And those who fulfil their trusts and keep their promises;

And those who keep proper regard for their trusts and their pledges.

and those who keep their trusts and covenants

They are faithful and true to their trusts (which either God or society or an individual places in their charge) and to their pledges (between them and God or other persons or society).

And who look after their trusts and their covenants,

And those whom to their securities/trusts , and their promise/contract they are protecting/observing

And those who keep proper regard for their trusts and their pledges.

But whoever craves aught beyond that, they are the transgressors

Those who are faithfully true to their Amanat (all the duties which Allah has ordained, honesty, moral responsibility and trusts etc.) and to their covenants;

But whoever seeks to go beyond that, such are transgressors --

And those who are keepers of their trusts and their covenant,

And who are shepherds of their pledge and their covenant,

those who are true to their trust,

(Prosperous are those) who preserve their trusts and pledges

Those who are faithfully true to their Amanat and to their covenants are Ra`un.

those who are faithful to their trusts and promises;

Those who are faithful to their trusts and pledges.

And who are keepers of their trusts (may be read as plural, amntihim, `their trusts', or singular, amnatihim, `their trust') and covenants, [made] between them, or between them and God, such as [the observance of] prayer and so on.

Those who are faithfully true to their Amanat and to their covenants,

When they are entrusted with something, they do not betray that trust, but they fulfill it, and when they make a promise or make a pledge, they are true to their word.

This is not like the hypocrites about whom the Messenger of Allah said;

ايَةُ الْمُنَافِقِ ثَلَثٌ

إِذَا حَدَّثَ كَذَبَ

وَإِذَا وَعَدَ أَخْلَفَ

وَإِذَا اوْتُمِنَ خَان

The signs of the hypocrite are three;

when he speaks he lies,

when he makes a promise he breaks it, and

when he is entrusted with something he betrays that trust.

وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ عَلَى صَلَوَاتِهِمْ يُحَافِظُونَ
