فَتَقَطَّعُوْٓا اَمْرَهُمْ بَيْنَهُمْ زُبُرًاۗ كُلُّ حِزْبٍۢ بِمَا لَدَيْهِمْ فَرِحُوْنَ ( المؤمنون: ٥٣ )

But they cut off

بِمَا

لَدَيْهِمْ
they have
fariḥūna
فَرِحُونَ
rejoicing
Fataqatta'ooo amrahum bainahum zuburaa; kullu hizbim bimaa ladaihim farihoon (al-Muʾminūn 23:53)
Sahih International:
But they [i.e., the people] divided their religion among them into portions [i.e., sects] – each faction, in what it has, rejoicing. (Al-Mu'minun [23] : 53)

But they split up ways from one another (dividing themselves) into factions, each faction happy with what lies before it.
