وَلَا يَزَالُ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا فِيْ مِرْيَةٍ مِّنْهُ حَتّٰى تَأْتِيَهُمُ السَّاعَةُ بَغْتَةً اَوْ يَأْتِيَهُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمٍ عَقِيْمٍ   ( الحج: ٥٥ )

walā
وَلَا
And not

يَزَالُ
will cease
alladhīna
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
kafarū
كَفَرُوا۟
disbelieve
فِى
(to be) in
mir'yatin
مِرْيَةٍ
doubt
min'hu
مِّنْهُ
of it
ḥattā
حَتَّىٰ
until
tatiyahumu
تَأْتِيَهُمُ
comes to them
l-sāʿatu
ٱلسَّاعَةُ
the Hour
baghtatan
بَغْتَةً
suddenly
aw
أَوْ
or
yatiyahum
يَأْتِيَهُمْ
comes to them
ʿadhābu
عَذَابُ
(the) punishment
yawmin
يَوْمٍ
(of) a Day
ʿaqīmin
عَقِيمٍ
barren

Wa laa yazaalul lazeena kafaroo fee miryatim minhu hattaa taatiyahumus Saa'atu baghtatan aw yaatiyahum 'azaabu Yawmin 'aqeem (al-Ḥajj 22:55)

Sahih International:

But those who disbelieve will not cease to be in doubt of it until the Hour comes upon them unexpectedly or there comes to them the punishment of a barren Day. (Al-Hajj [22] : 55)

1 Mufti Taqi Usmani

Those who disbelieve will remain in doubt about it (the Qur’ān) forever, until the Hour (of Judgment) comes upon them suddenly, or there comes to them the punishment of a barren day.
