Al-Anbya Verse 38

They ask ˹the believers˺, “When will this threat come to pass if what you say is true?”

They say, “When will this promise come to pass, if you are truthful?”

They say, 'And when shall the promise come to pass, if you speak truly?'

They say, ‘When will this promise be fulfilled, if what you say is true?’

And they say: when cometh this torment if ye are truth- tellers!

They say; "When will this promise come to pass, if ye are telling the truth?"

They say: "(Tell us) when will the threat of punishment come to pass if you are truthful?"

Yet they say: "When will the promised threat come to pass, if you speak the truth?"

And they say, “When will this promise occur, if you are truthful?

And they say, ‘When will this promise be fulfilled, if you are truthful?’

But they insistently ask, "After all, when will this threat be fulfilled? (Answer us, O you who believe in it,) if you are people of truth!"

And they say, `When will this promise of punishment be fulfilled, (let us know) if you are truthful?´

And they say: "When (is) that the promise if you were truthful?"

And they say, "When will this promise occur, if you are truthful?

Man is made of haste. I will show you My signs; but do not ask Me to hasten.

And they say: "When will this promise (come to pass), if you are truthful."

Man is created of haste. Soon will I show you My signs, so ask Me not to hasten them.

And they say: When will this threat come to pass if you are truthful?

And they say: When will this promise (be fulfilled), if ye are truthful?

They say, "When shall the Day of Judgment come to pass if you are true in your claim?"

They say: 'If you are truthful, when will this promise come'

And they say: "When will this promise (come to pass), if you are truthful."

They ask, "When will this promise be fulfilled, if what you say be true?"

And they say, “When will this promise come true, if you are truthful?”

And they say, `When will this promise, of resurrection, be [fulfilled], if you are truthful?', about it.

The Idolators seek to hasten on the Punishment

Allah also tells us how the idolators seek to hasten punishment upon themselves, out of denial, rejection, disbelief, stubbornness and a belief that it will never happen.

He says;

وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَى هَذَا الْوَعْدُ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ



And they say;"When will this promise (come to pass), if you are truthful".

And Allah says
