اَفَلَا يَرَوْنَ اَلَّا يَرْجِعُ اِلَيْهِمْ قَوْلًا ەۙ وَّلَا يَمْلِكُ لَهُمْ ضَرًّا وَّلَا نَفْعًا ࣖ  ( طه: ٨٩ )

Afalaa yarawna allaa yarji'u ilaihim qawlanw wa laa yamliku lahum darranw wa laa naf'aa (Ṭāʾ Hāʾ 20:89)

Sahih International:

Did they not see that it could not return to them any speech [i.e., response] and that it did not possess for them any harm or benefit? (Taha [20] : 89)

Have they not been seeing that it did not respond to them (even) with a word, nor did it have power to harm or benefit them?
