فَتَلَقّٰٓى اٰدَمُ مِنْ رَّبِّهٖ كَلِمٰتٍ فَتَابَ عَلَيْهِ ۗ اِنَّهٗ هُوَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيْمُ   ( البقرة: ٣٧ )

Then received
ādamu

كَلِمَٰتٍ

fatāba
فَتَابَ
So (his Lord) turned
ʿalayhi
عَلَيْهِۚ
towards him
innahu
إِنَّهُۥ
Indeed He!
huwa
هُوَ
He
l-tawābu
ٱلتَّوَّابُ
(is) the Oft-returning (to mercy)
l-raḥīmu
ٱلرَّحِيمُ
the Most Merciful

Fatalaqqaaa Aadamu mir Rabbihee Kalimaatin fataaba 'alayh; innahoo Huwat Tawwaabur Raheem (al-Baq̈arah 2:37)

Sahih International:

Then Adam received from his Lord [some] words, and He accepted his repentance. Indeed, it is He who is the Accepting of Repentance, the Merciful. (Al-Baqarah [2] : 37)

1 Mufti Taqi Usmani

Then ’Ādam learned certain words (to pray with) from his Lord; so, Allah accepted his repentance. No doubt, He is the Most-Relenting, the Very-Merciful.
