۞ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يَسْتَحْيٖٓ اَنْ يَّضْرِبَ مَثَلًا مَّا بَعُوْضَةً فَمَا فَوْقَهَا ۗ فَاَمَّا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا فَيَعْلَمُوْنَ اَنَّهُ الْحَقُّ مِنْ رَّبِّهِمْ ۚ وَاَمَّا الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا فَيَقُوْلُوْنَ مَاذَآ اَرَادَ اللّٰهُ بِهٰذَا مَثَلًا ۘ يُضِلُّ بِهٖ كَثِيْرًا وَّيَهْدِيْ بِهٖ كَثِيْرًا ۗ وَمَا يُضِلُّ بِهٖٓ اِلَّا الْفٰسِقِيْنَۙ  ( البقرة: ٢٦ )

baʿūḍatan
بَعُوضَةً
(of) a mosquito
famā
فَمَا
and (even) something
fawqahā
فَوْقَهَاۚ
above it
fa-ammā
فَأَمَّا
Then as for
alladhīna
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
āmanū
ءَامَنُوا۟
believed
fayaʿlamūna
فَيَعْلَمُونَ
[thus] they will know
annahu
أَنَّهُ
that it
l-ḥaqu
ٱلْحَقُّ
(is) the truth
min
مِن
from
rabbihim
رَّبِّهِمْۖ
their Lord
wa-ammā
وَأَمَّا
And as for
alladhīna
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
kafarū
كَفَرُوا۟
disbelieved
fayaqūlūna
فَيَقُولُونَ
[thus] they will say
mādhā
مَاذَآ
what
arāda
أَرَادَ
(did) intend
l-lahu
ٱللَّهُ
Allah
bihādhā
بِهَٰذَا
by this
mathalan
مَثَلاًۘ
example?
yuḍillu
يُضِلُّ
He lets go astray
bihi
بِهِۦ
by it
kathīran
كَثِيرًا
many
wayahdī
وَيَهْدِى
and He guides
bihi
بِهِۦ
by it
kathīran
كَثِيرًاۚ
many
wamā
وَمَا
And not
yuḍillu
يُضِلُّ
He lets go astray
bihi
بِهِۦٓ
by it
illā
إِلَّا
except
l-fāsiqīna
ٱلْفَٰسِقِينَ
the defiantly disobedient

Innal laaha laa yastahyeee ai yadriba masalam maa ba'oodatan famaa fawqahaa; faammal lazeena aamanoo faya'lamoona annahul haqqu mir rabbihim wa ammal lazeena kafaroo fayaqooloona maazaaa araadal laahu bihaazaa masalaa; yudillu bihee kaseeranw wa yahdee bihee kaseeraa; wa maa yudillu biheee illal faasiqeen (al-Baq̈arah 2:26)

Sahih International:

Indeed, Allah is not timid to present an example – that of a mosquito or what is smaller than it. And those who have believed know that it is the truth from their Lord. But as for those who disbelieve, they say, "What did Allah intend by this as an example?" He misleads many thereby and guides many thereby. And He misleads not except the defiantly disobedient, (Al-Baqarah [2] : 26)

Indeed, Allah does not feel shy in citing any parable, be it that of a gnat or of something above it (in meanness). Now, as for those who believe, they know it is the truth from their Lord; while those who disbelieve say, “What could Allah have meant by this parable?” By this He lets many go astray, and by this He makes many find guidance. But He does not let anyone go astray thereby except those who are sinful
