Al-Kahf Verse 99

On that Day, We will let them[[ Gog and Magog. ]] surge ˹like waves˺ over one another. Later, the Trumpet will be blown,[[ On the Day of Judgment, the Trumpet will be blown by an angel—causing all to die. When it is blown a second time, everyone will be raised from the dead to be assembled for the Judgment (see {39:68}). ]] and We will gather all ˹people˺ together.

On that Day We will let some of them surge like waves over others, and the Trumpet will be blown, then We will gather them all together.

Upon that day We shall leave them surging on one another, and the Trumpet shall he blown, and We shall gather them together,

On that Day, We shall let them surge against each other like waves and then the Trumpet will be blown and We shall gather them all together.

And We shall leave them on that day surging one against anot her and the trumpet shall be blown, and then We shall assemble them together.

On that day We shall leave them to surge like waves on one another; the trumpet will be blown, and We shall collect them all together.

And on that Day We shall let some of them surge like waves against others, and the Trumpet shall be blown. Then We shall gather them all together.

We shall leave them on that day surging like waves pressing one against the other, and the trumpet blast will be sounded, when We shall gather them all together.

And on that day We shall release them in groups surging like waves one after another, and the Trumpet will be blown – so We shall gather them all together. (* Gog and Magog will come out during the time of Eisa (Jesus – when he comes back to earth) and cause great destruction in the land.)

That day We shall let them surge over one another, the Trumpet will be blown, and We shall gather them all,

On that day We will leave people to surge like waves on one another; and the Trumpet will be blown, then We will gather them all together.

And We shall leave them (- Gog and Magog) alone at that time surging as waves (in furious attacks) one over another. And the trumpet shall be blown. Then shall We gather them all together.

And We left some/part of them (on) that day (to) trouble/agitate (interlock) in some/part, and the horn/bugle/instrument was blown in, so We gathered/collected them all together .

And on that day We shall release them in groups surging like waves one after another, and the Trumpet will be blown – so We shall gather them all together. (* Gog and Magog will come out during the time of Eisa (Jesus - when he comes back to earth) and cause great destruction in the land.)

Said he, "This is a mercy from my Lord; but when the promise of my Lord comes to pass, He will make it as dust, for the promise of my Lord is true."

And on that Day [i.e. the Day Ya'juj and Ma'juj (Gog and Magog) will come out], We shall leave them to surge like waves on one another, and the Trumpet will be blown, and We shall collect them all together.

He said: This is a mercy from my Lord, but when the promise of my Lord comes to pass He will crumble it, and the promise of my Lord is ever true.

And on that day We will leave a part of them in conflict with another part, and the trumpet will be blown, so We will gather them all together;

And on that day we shall let some of them surge against others, and the Trumpet will be blown. Then We shall gather them together in one gathering.

On the day when the barrier is demolished, We will leave human beings in chaos. We will leave them like the waves of the sea striking against each other. Then the trumpet will be sounded and We will bring them all together.

On that day, We will let them surge on one another, and the Horn shall be blown, and We will gather them all together.

And on that Day, We shall leave some of them to surge like waves on one another; and the Trumpet will be blown, and We shall collect them (the creatures) all together.

On that Day, We shall let them surge against each other like waves and then the Trumpet will be blown and We shall gather them all together.

On that Day, We will leave them surging upon one another. And the Trumpet will be blown, and We will gather them together.

And on that day, the day of their coming forth, We shall let some of them surge against others, mixing with one another, on account of their multitude, and the Trumpet, namely, the Horn signalling the Resurrection, shall be blown and We shall gather them, namely, creatures, in one place, on the Day of Resurrection, a [single] gathering.

وَتَرَكْنَا بَعْضَهُمْ

We shall leave some of them,

meaning mankind, on that day, the day when the barrier will be breached and these people (Ya'juj and Ma'juj) will come out surging over mankind to destroy their wealth and property.

وَتَرَكْنَا بَعْضَهُمْ يَوْمَيِذٍ يَمُوجُ فِي بَعْضٍ

We shall leave some of them to surge like waves on one another;

As-Suddi said;

"That is when they emerge upon the people."

All of this will happen before the Day of Resurrection and after the Dajjal, as we will explain when discussing the Ayat;

حَتَّى إِذَا فُتِحَتْ يَأْجُوجُ وَمَأْجُوجُ وَهُمْ مِّن كُلِّ حَدَبٍ يَنسِلُونَ

وَاقْتَرَبَ الْوَعْدُ الْحَقُّ

Until, when Ya'juj and Ma'juj are let loose, and they swoop down from every Hadab. And the true promise shall draw near... (21;96-97)

وَنُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ

and As-Sur will be blown.
As-Sur, as explained in the Hadith, is a horn that is blown into. The one who will blow into it is (the angel) Israfil, peace be upon him, as has been explained in the Hadith quoted at length above, and there are many Hadiths on this topic.

According to a Hadith narrated from Atiyah from Ibn Abbas and Abu Sa`id, and attributed to the Prophet,

كَيْفَ أَنْعَمُ وَصَاحِبُ الْقَرْنِ قَدِ الْتَقَمَ الْقَرْنَ وَحَنَى جَبْهَتَهُ وَاسْتَمَعَ مَتَى يُوْمَرُ



How can I relax when the one with the Horn has put the Horn in his mouth and has knelt down, listening out for the command to be given to him?

They said, "What should we say?"

He said;

قُولُوا

حَسْبُنَا اللهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ عَلَى اللهِ تَوَكَّلْنَا

Say;

"Allah is Sufficient for us and the best Disposer of affairs, in Allah have we put our trust."

فَجَمَعْنَاهُمْ جَمْعًا



and We shall collect them (the creatures) all together.

means, `We shall bring them all together for Reckoning.'

قُلْ إِنَّ الاٌّوَّلِينَ وَالاٌّخِرِينَ

لَمَجْمُوعُونَ إِلَى مِيقَـتِ يَوْمٍ مَّعْلُومٍ

Say;"(Yes) verily, those of old, and those of later times. All will surely be gathered together for appointed meeting of a known Day. (56;49-50)

وَحَشَرْنَـهُمْ فَلَمْ نُغَادِرْ مِنْهُمْ أَحَداً

and we shall gather them all together so as to leave not one of them behind. (18;47
