فَانْطَلَقَا ۗحَتّٰٓى اِذَا لَقِيَا غُلٰمًا فَقَتَلَهٗ ۙقَالَ اَقَتَلْتَ نَفْسًا زَكِيَّةً؈ۢبِغَيْرِ نَفْسٍۗ لَقَدْ جِئْتَ شَيْـًٔا نُكْرًا ۔ ( الكهف: ٧٤ )
fa-inṭalaqā
فَٱنطَلَقَا
Then they both set out
ḥattā
حَتَّىٰٓ
until
idhā
إِذَا
when
laqiyā
لَقِيَا
they met
ghulāman
غُلَٰمًا
a boy
faqatalahu
فَقَتَلَهُۥ
then he killed him
qāla
قَالَ
He said
aqatalta
أَقَتَلْتَ
"Have you killed
nafsan
نَفْسًا
a soul
zakiyyatan
زَكِيَّةًۢ
pure
bighayri
بِغَيْرِ
for other than
nafsin
نَفْسٍ
a soul?
laqad
لَّقَدْ
Certainly
ji'ta
جِئْتَ
you have done
shayan
شَيْـًٔا
a thing
nuk'ran
نُّكْرًا
evil"
Fantalaqaa hattaa izaa laqiyaa ghulaaman faqatalahoo qaala aqatalta nafsan zakiy yatam bighairi nafs; laqad ji'ta shai'an nukraa (al-Kahf 18:74)
Sahih International:
So they set out, until when they met a boy, he [i.e., al-Khidhr] killed him. [Moses] said, "Have you killed a pure soul for other than [having killed] a soul? You have certainly done a deplorable thing." (Al-Kahf [18] : 74)

So, they moved ahead until when they met a boy, he killed him (the boy). He (Mūsā) said, “Did you kill an innocent soul while he did not kill anyone? You have committed a heinous act indeed.”
