وَاَوْفُوا الْكَيْلَ اِذَا كِلْتُمْ وَزِنُوْا بِالْقِسْطَاسِ الْمُسْتَقِيْمِۗ ذٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ وَّاَحْسَنُ تَأْوِيْلًا ( الإسراء: ٣٥ )
wa-awfū
وَأَوْفُوا۟
And give full
l-kayla
ٱلْكَيْلَ
[the] measure
idhā
إِذَا
when
kil'tum
كِلْتُمْ
you measure
wazinū
وَزِنُوا۟
and weigh
bil-qis'ṭāsi
بِٱلْقِسْطَاسِ
with the balance
l-mus'taqīmi
ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمِۚ
the straight
dhālika
ذَٰلِكَ
That
khayrun
خَيْرٌ
(is) good
wa-aḥsanu
وَأَحْسَنُ
and best
tawīlan
تَأْوِيلًا
(in) result
Wa awful kaila izaa kiltum wa zinoo bilqistaasil mustaqeem; zaalika khairunw wa ahsanu taaweelaa (al-ʾIsrāʾ 17:35)
Sahih International:
And give full measure when you measure, and weigh with an even [i.e., honest] balance. That is the best [way] and best in result. (Al-Isra [17] : 35)
