Al-Hijr Verse 69

Fear Allah and do not humiliate me.”

Fear Allah and do not disgrace me.”

and fear God, and do not degrade me.'

Fear God, and do not shame me.’

And fear Allah, and humiliate me not.

"But fear Allah, and shame me not."

Have fear of Allah, and do not humiliate me."

"And do not disgrace me. Have some fear of God."

“And fear Allah and do not disgrace me.”

Be wary of Allah and do not humiliate me.’

"Have fear of God, and do not disgrace me!"

`And keep your duty to Allâh and disgrace me not.´

And fear and obey God and do not shame/disgrace me .

"And fear Allah and do not disgrace me."

"But fear Allah, and put me not to shame."

"And fear Allah and disgrace me not."

He said: These are my guests, so disgrace me not,

And guard against (the punishment of) Allah and do not put me to shame.

And keep your duty to Allah, and shame me not!

Have fear of God and do not humiliate me".

Fear Allah and do not disgrace me'

"And have Taqwa of Allah, and do not disgrace me."

Fear God and do not shame me."

“And fear God, and do not disgrace me.”

and fear God, and do not humiliate me', by seeking them to commit an abomination with them.

(Lut) said;"Verily, these are my guests, so do not shame me. And have Taqwa of Allah, and do not disgrace me."

This is what Lut said to them before he knew that his guests were messengers from Allah, as mentioned in Surah Hud, but here (in this Surah), we have already been told that they are messengers from Allah, and this is followed by an account of Lut's people coming and his exchange with them.

However, here the conjunction (wa, meaning "and") does not imply the sequence of events, especially since there is something to indicate that this is not the case.

They said answering him,

قَالُوا أَوَلَمْ نَنْهَكَ عَنِ الْعَالَمِينَ
