Yusuf Verse 99

When they entered Joseph’s presence, he received his parents ˹graciously˺ and said, “Enter Egypt, Allah willing, in security.”

When they came into Joseph’s presence, he embraced his parents and said, “Enter Egypt, if Allah wills, safe and secure.

So, when they entered unto Joseph, he took his father and mother into his arms saying, 'Enter you into Egypt, if God will, in security.'

Later, when they presented themselves before Joseph, he drew his parents to him- he said, ‘Welcome to Egypt: you will all be safe here, God willing’-

Then when they entered unto Yusuf, he betook his parents unto himself. and said: enter Misr, if Allah will, in security.

Then when they entered the presence of Joseph, he provided a home for his parents with himself, and said; "Enter ye Egypt (all) in safety if it please Allah."

And when they went to Joseph, he took his parents aside and said (to the members of his family): "Enter the city now, and if Allah wills, you shall be secure."

When they went back to Joseph he gave his father and mother a place of honour, and said: "Enter Egypt in peace by the will of God."

So when they all reached in Yusuf’s company, he kept his parents close to him, and said, “Enter Egypt, if Allah wills, in safety.”

When they entered into the presence of Joseph, he set his parents close to himself, and said, ‘Welcome to Egypt, in safety, God willing!’

(When Jacob’s family reached Egypt,) they presented themselves before Joseph (who had come out to welcome them). He embraced his parents, and said (addressing all those who came): "Enter Egypt by God’s will in security (free from fear of privation or grief)!"

And when they all came to Joseph he betook his parents to himself for a restful lodging (making them his personal guests) and said, `Enter the city, if Allâh will, you shall always be safe and secure.´

So when they entered on Joseph, he gave shelter/refuge (hosted) his parents to him, and he said: "Enter (the) city/border/region/Egypt , if God willed/wanted safe/secure."

So when they all reached in Yusuf’s company, he kept his parents close to him, and said, "Enter Egypt, if Allah wills, in safety."

He said, "I will ask pardon for you from my Lord; verily, He is the Forgiving, Merciful."

Then, when they entered unto Yusuf (Joseph), he betook his parents to himself and said: "Enter Egypt, if Allah wills, in security."

He said: I shall ask forgiveness for you of my Lord. Surely He is the Forgiving, the Merciful.

Then when they came in to Yusuf, he took his parents to lodge with him and said: Enter safe into Egypt, if Allah please.

And when they came in before Joseph, he took his parents unto him, and said: Come into Egypt safe, if Allah will!

When they all came to Joseph, he welcomed his parents and said, "Enter the town in peace, if God wants it to be so."

And when they entered before Joseph, he took his father and mother into his arms and said: 'Welcome to Egypt, safe, if Allah wills'

Then, when they came in before Yusuf, he took his parents to himself and said: "Enter Egypt, if Allah wills, in security."

Then, when they presented themselves before Joseph, he drew his parents to him and said, "Welcome to Egypt, in safety, if God wills!"

Then, when they entered into the presence of Joseph, he embraced his parents, and said, “Enter Egypt, God willing, safe and secure.”

And when they entered to Joseph, in his tent, he took his parents, his father and his mother -- or [and] his maternal aunt -- into his arms, and said, to them; `Enter into Egypt, if God will, in safety', and they entered, and Joseph sat down on his throne.

Yusuf welcomes His Parents; His Dream comes True

Allah tells;

فَلَمَّا دَخَلُواْ عَلَى يُوسُفَ اوَى إِلَيْهِ أَبَوَيْهِ

Then, when they came in before Yusuf, he took his parents to himself,

Yusuf had asked his brothers to bring all of their family, and they all departed their area and left Kana`an to Egypt. When Yusuf received news of their approach to Egypt, he went out to receive them.

The king ordered the princes and notable people to go out in the receiving party with Yusuf to meet Allah's Prophet Yaqub, peace be upon him. It is said that the king also went out with them to meet Yaqub.

Yusuf said to his family, after they entered unto him and he took them to himself,

وَقَالَ ادْخُلُواْ مِصْرَ إِن شَاء اللّهُ امِنِينَ



and said;"Enter Egypt, if Allah wills, in security."

He said to them, `enter Egypt', meaning, `reside in Egypt', and added, `if Allah wills, in security', in reference to the hardship and famine that they suffered.

اوَى إِلَيْهِ أَبَوَيْهِ
(and he took his parents to himself),

As-Suddi and Abdur-Rahman bin Zayd bin Aslam said that;

his parents were his father and maternal aunt, as his mother had died long ago.

Muhammad bin Ishaq and Ibn Jarir At-Tabari said,

"His father and mother were both alive."

Ibn Jarir added,

"There is no evidence that his mother had died before then. Rather, the apparent words of the Qur'an testify that she was alive."

This opinion has the apparent and suitable meaning that this story testifies to.
