Yusuf Verse 2

Indeed, We have sent it down as an Arabic Quran[[ Quran literally means recitation. ]] so that you may understand.[[ The address here is to the Arabs and, by extension, all of humanity. ]]

We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur’an so that you may understand.

We have sent it down as an Arabic Koran; haply you will understand.

We have sent it down as an Arabic Quran so that you [people] may understand.

Verily We! We have sent it down, an Arabic Recitation, that haply ye may reflect.

We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur'an, in order that ye may learn wisdom.

We have revealed it as a Recitation in Arabic that you may fully understand.

We have sent it down as a clear discourse that you may understand.

Indeed We have sent down an Arabic Qur’an, so that you may perceive.

Indeed We have sent it down as an Arabic Quran so that you may exercise your reason.

We send it down as a qur’an (discourse) in Arabic so that you may reflect (on both its meaning and wording) and understand.

We have, indeed revealed this Qur´ân which explains its object eloquently well that you may abstain (from evils).

That We descended it an Arabic Koran , maybe/perhaps you reason/comprehend

Indeed We have sent down an Arabic Qur’an, so that you may perceive.

ALIF LAM RA. These are the verses (or symbols) of the Perspicuous (or clarifying) Book.

Verily, We have sent it down as an Arabic Quran in order that you may understand.

I, Allah, am the Seer. These are the verses of the Book that makes manifest.

Surely We have revealed it-- an Arabic Quran-- that you may understand.

Lo! We have revealed it, a Lecture in Arabic, that ye may understand.

We have revealed it in the Arabic language so that you (people) would understand it.

We have sent it down, an Arabic Koran, in order that you understand.

Verily, We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur'an in order that you may understand.

We have sent down the Quran in Arabic, so that you may understand.

We have revealed it an Arabic Quran, so that you may understand.

We have revealed it as an Arabic Qur'n, in the language of the Arabs, so that you, O people of Mecca, might understand, comprehend its meaning.

Verily, We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur'an in order that you may understand.

The Arabic language is the most eloquent, plain, deep and expressive of the meanings that might arise in one's mind. Therefore, the most honorable Book, was revealed in the most honorable language, to the most honorable Prophet and Messenger, delivered by the most honorable angel, in the most honorable land on earth, and its revelation started during the most honorable month of the year, Ramadan. Therefore, the Qur'an is perfect in every respect.

So Allah said,

نَحْنُ نَقُصُّ عَلَيْكَ أَحْسَنَ الْقَصَصِ بِمَا أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْكَ هَـذَا الْقُرْانَ وَإِن كُنتَ مِن قَبْلِهِ لَمِنَ الْغَافِلِينَ
