قَالُوْا يٰشُعَيْبُ اَصَلٰوتُكَ تَأْمُرُكَ اَنْ نَّتْرُكَ مَا يَعْبُدُ اٰبَاۤؤُنَآ اَوْ اَنْ نَّفْعَلَ فِيْٓ اَمْوَالِنَا مَا نَشٰۤؤُا ۗاِنَّكَ لَاَنْتَ الْحَلِيْمُ الرَّشِيْدُ ( هود: ٨٧ )
Qaaloo yaa Shu'aybu asalaatuka taamuruka an natruka maa ya'budu aabaaa'unaaa aw an naf'ala feee amwaalinaa maa nashaaa'oo innaka la antal haleemur rasheed (Hūd 11:87)
Sahih International:
They said, "O Shuaib, does your prayer [i.e., religion] command you that we should leave what our fathers worship or not do with our wealth what we please? Indeed, you are the forbearing, the discerning!" (Hud [11] : 87)
1 Mufti Taqi Usmani
They said, “O Shu‘aib, does your Salāh (prayer) command you that we should forsake what our fathers used to worship or that we should not deal with our wealth as we please? You pretend to be the only man of wisdom and guidance.”
