۞ مَثَلُ الْفَرِيْقَيْنِ كَالْاَعْمٰى وَالْاَصَمِّ وَالْبَصِيْرِ وَالسَّمِيْعِۗ هَلْ يَسْتَوِيٰنِ مَثَلًا ۗ اَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُوْنَ ࣖ   ( هود: ٢٤ )

kal-aʿmā
كَٱلْأَعْمَىٰ
(is) like the blind
wal-aṣami
وَٱلْأَصَمِّ
and the deaf
wal-baṣīri
وَٱلْبَصِيرِ
and the seer
wal-samīʿi
وَٱلسَّمِيعِۚ
and the hearer
hal
هَلْ
Are
yastawiyāni
يَسْتَوِيَانِ
they equal
mathalan
مَثَلًاۚ
(in) comparison?
afalā
أَفَلَا
Then will not
tadhakkarūna
تَذَكَّرُونَ
you take heed?

Masalul fareeqini kal a'maa wal asammi walbaseeri wassamee'; hal yastawiyaani masalaa; afalaa tazakkaroon (Hūd 11:24)

Sahih International:

The example of the two parties is like the blind and deaf, and the seeing and hearing. Are they equal in comparison? Then, will you not remember? (Hud [11] : 24)

1 Mufti Taqi Usmani

The example of the two groups is that of a blind and deaf person on the one hand, and a seeing and hearing one on the other. Are the two equal when compared? Would you still pay no heed?
