قُلْ
Say
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
"O
ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ
disbelievers!
Qul yaa-ai yuhal kaafiroon
Say, "O disbelievers,
لَآ
Not
أَعْبُدُ
I worship
مَا
what
تَعْبُدُونَ
you worship
Laa a'budu ma t'abudoon
I do not worship what you worship.
وَلَآ
And not
أَنتُمْ
you
عَٰبِدُونَ
(are) worshippers
مَآ
(of) what
أَعْبُدُ
I worship
Wa laa antum 'aabidoona maa a'bud
Nor are you worshippers of what I worship.
وَلَآ
And not
أَنَا۠
I am
عَابِدٌ
a worshipper
مَّا
(of) what
عَبَدتُّمْ
you worship
Wa laa ana 'abidum maa 'abattum
Nor will I be a worshipper of what you worship.
وَلَآ
And not
أَنتُمْ
you are
عَٰبِدُونَ
worshippers
مَآ
(of) what
أَعْبُدُ
I worship
Wa laa antum 'aabidoona ma a'bud
Nor will you be worshippers of what I worship.
لَكُمْ
For you
دِينُكُمْ
(is) your religion
وَلِىَ
and for me
دِينِ
(is) my religion"
Lakum deenukum wa liya deen.
For you is your religion, and for me is my religion."
