Yunus Verse 89

Allah responded ˹to Moses and Aaron˺,[[ Moses prayed while Aaron said, “Amen.” So it is as if both of them prayed. ]] “Your prayer is answered! So be steadfast and do not follow the way of those who do not know.”

Allah said [to Moses and Aaron], “Your prayer is answered, so be steadfast on the straight path, and do not follow the way of those who do not know.”

He said, 'Your prayer is answered; so go you straight, and follow not the way of those that know not.'

God said, ‘Your prayers are answered, so stay on the right course, and do not follow the path of those who do not know.’

Allah said: surely the petition of you twain is accepted, so keep straight on, and follow not the path of those who know not.

Allah said; "Accepted is your prayer (O Moses and Aaron)! So stand ye straight, and follow not the path of those who know not."

Allah responded: 'The prayer of the two of you is accepted. So keep steadfast, and do not follow the path of the ignorant.

Said (the Lord): "Your prayer is answered. Therefore persist and do not follow the path of those who are ignorant."

He said, “The prayer of you two is accepted, therefore remain firm, and do not follow the way of the unwise.”

Said He, ‘Your supplication has already been granted. So be steadfast, and do not follow the way of those who do not know.’

God said: "The prayer of you two (O Moses and Aaron) has indeed been answered; so, (since the realization of your goals is dependent upon your way of conduct,) continue steadfastly on the Straight Path, and do not follow the way of those who have no knowledge (of right and wrong) and act in ignorance."

(The Lord) said, `The prayer of you both has been accepted, so remain you two steadfast and follow not the way of those who do not know.´

He said: "Your (B)`s call/request/prayer had been answered/replied to, so be straight/direct, and do not follow (the) way/path (of) those who do not know."

He said, "The prayer of you two is accepted, therefore remain firm, and do not follow the way of the unwise."

Moses said, "O our Lord! Verily, Thou hast brought to Pharaoh and his chiefs ornaments and wealth in the life of this world; Our Lord! They lead men astray from Thy way thereby! Our Lord! Confound their wealth (make it loathsome or turn it into a source of repulsion) and harden their heart that they may not believe until they see the grievous doom."

Allah said: "Verily, the invocation of you both is accepted. So you both keep to the Straight Way (i.e. keep on doing good deeds and preaching Allah's Message with patience), and follow not the path of those who know not (the truth i.e. to believe in the Oneness of Allah, and also to believe in the Reward of Allah: Paradise, etc.)."

And Moses said: Our Lord, surely Thou has given Pharaoh and his chiefs finery and riches in this worlds’ life, our Lord, that they may lead (people) astray from Thy way. Our Lord, destroy their riches and harden their hearts, so that they believe not till they see the painful chastisement.

He said: The prayer of you both has indeed been accepted, therefore continue in the right way and do not follow the path of those who do not know.

He said: Your prayer is heard. Do ye twain keep to the straight path, and follow not the road of those who have no knowledge.

The Lord replied, "Moses, the prayer of your brother and yourself has been heard. Both of you must be steadfast (in your faith) and must not follow the ignorant ones."

He (Allah) said: 'Your supplication is answered; so go straight and do not follow the way of those who do not know'

Allah said: "Verily, the invocation of you both is accepted. So you both keep to the straight way, and follow not the path of those who know not."

God said, "Your prayer is granted, so continue, then, both of you, steadfastly on the right path, and do not follow the path of those who have no knowledge."

He said, “Your prayer has been answered, so go straight, and do not follow the path of those who do not know.”

He, [God] exalted be He, said, `Your prayer has been answered; thus their riches were transformed into stones and Pharaoh did not believe until he was about to drown. So the two of you remain upright, with the Message and the Call until such time as chastisement befalls them, and do not follow the way of those who have no knowledge', when they seek to hasten on My judgement -- it is reported that he [Moses] remained [alive] a further forty years thereafter.

قَالَ قَدْ أُجِيبَت دَّعْوَتُكُمَا

فَاسْتَقِيمَا


Allah said;"Verily, the invocation of you both is accepted.

`in destroying Fir`awn's people.

قَدْ أُجِيبَت دَّعْوَتُكُمَا

فَاسْتَقِيمَا

Allah said;"Verily, the invocation of you both is accepted. So you both keep to the straight way,

As I have answered your prayer, you should remain steadfast on My command.'

Ibn Jurayj narrated that Ibn Abbas said about this Ayah;

"Be steadfast and follow My command."

فَاسْتَقِيمَا وَلَا تَتَّبِعَأنِّ سَبِيلَ الَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ



and follow not the path of those who know not.
