مَا تَعْبُدُوْنَ مِنْ دُوْنِهٖٓ اِلَّآ اَسْمَاۤءً سَمَّيْتُمُوْهَآ اَنْتُمْ وَاٰبَاۤؤُكُمْ مَّآ اَنْزَلَ اللّٰهُ بِهَا مِنْ سُلْطٰنٍۗ اِنِ الْحُكْمُ اِلَّا لِلّٰهِ ۗاَمَرَ اَلَّا تَعْبُدُوْٓا اِلَّآ اِيَّاهُ ۗذٰلِكَ الدِّيْنُ الْقَيِّمُ وَلٰكِنَّ اَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُوْنَ ( يوسف: ٤٠ )
Mā Ta`budūna Min Dūnihi 'Illā 'Asmā'an Sammaytumūhā 'Antum Wa 'Ābā'uukum Mā 'Anzala Allāhu Bihā Min Sulţānin 'Ini Al-Ĥukmu 'Illā Lillāhi 'Amara 'Allā Ta`budū 'Illā 'Īyāhu Dhālika Ad-Dīnu Al-Qayyimu Wa Lakinna 'Akthara An-Nāsi Lā Ya`lamūna. (Yūsuf 12:40)

Ihr dient außer Ihm nur Namen, die ihr genannt habt, ihr und eure Väter, für die Allah (jedoch) keine Ermächtigung herabgesandt hat. Das Urteil ist allein Allahs. Er hat befohlen, daß ihr nur Ihm dienen sollt. Das ist die richtige Religion. Aber die meisten Menschen wissen nicht. ([12] Yusuf (Josef) : 40)
English Sahih:
You worship not besides Him except [mere] names you have named them, you and your fathers, for which Allah has sent down no evidence. Legislation is not but for Allah. He has commanded that you worship not except Him. That is the correct religion, but most of the people do not know. ([12] Yusuf : 40)

Ihr dient anstelle von Ihm eigentlich nichts außer Namen, die ihr und eure Ahnen nannten, wozu ALLAH niemals eine Bestätigung hinabsandte. Die Entscheidung liegt doch nur bei ALLAH. ER hat geboten, daß ihr nichts außer Ihm dient. Dies ist der geradlinige Din, doch die meisten Menschen wissen es nicht.
